    Ah yeah, I get that, too. I'm fine with buying low and just holding onto them for a while. Only thing I can see the options good for is if something is on the verge of dropping real low and then taking some puts out. But I don't pay enough attention to try and predict when shit's gonna drop. I just get on once or twice a day and see how I'm doing and see if there's anything worth getting into.

    He maybe 100% correct, but after some of the USO article's I've read, slam the ETF, then they recommend their company's management of energy stocks. His article that capitalism is dead, tells me all that I need to know about him.
    These days, it's difficult to believe anything you read. :annoyed:

    I'm not looking to oil as an investment, but more of a long term gambling strategy...

    Im of the mind that whatever you put in USO be ok to lose it. I know that should be the strategy always but we all know thats not the case. I think its THE case in THIS case though. If it doesnt "implode" Im hopeful itll be rewarding. Double edge sword though as the willingness to lose what I put in keeps me only putting in a little, weakening that potential.

    I'm not ok with losing 100% to a bankrupt fund. I got out of USO and lost a few thousand in the process. That doesn't bug me at all. In this case I cannot say I knew what I was getting into. But generally knew I was out with 8% or more downward movement.

    As for the oil/gas patch. I have my list and will wait for the slaughter during earnings announcements.

    My point being, that there is so much crap and pure speculation out there. The modern world hasn't seen anything like this and many are betting heavily on failure.
