    Good Morning All :hattip:

We had some rain last night. Not enough to lower the fire danger. Been kinda a dry spring , which I like. Neighbor to the north wants to dig out the drain ditch that runs through our properties. The farmer further up the road is going install new drain tile in his field. I've digging out the pond overflow ditch.

I was hoping to lose weight while I was off.
The whole time I didn't drink any soda. The only "chips" I had were in a casserole. Stayed busy and still didn't lose anything. Gotta try harder.

Wife needs a new computer. Her boss is going to pay for it. Then get everything set up so she can work from home. The money she saves can go into my new 4wheeler fund.

I hate it. Outlook doesn't start most of the time - it takes one or two "three-fingered salutes" to kill and restart the processes. We've had to expand our pipe to the world by a factor of 5 in the last 3 years because of some politically-motivated cloud migrations, and now that we're there we're noticing that the gateway is a massive bottleneck.

    YA THINK?!?!?!

Compounded by expanding Citrix Access Gateway usage 4x and VPN usage doubled. It's nucking futs.

Makes me wish I'd bought stock in Citrix and VPN concentrators right before this kicked off like that [REDACTED] from Georgia did.

Good morning all, being a small business I like some of the features Microsoft 365 has to do business remotely. The Teams platform is useful and can easily share screens to collaborate work but the video and audio share sucks so we us an 8x8 a lot with the Teams platform. The other limit is Excel does not offer all functions and lags at times when in share screen mode. But other than that I do like the Sharepoint function to share documents and the ability to have several people work on docs at the same time. Google docs still does not allow that function, last one to save wins edits and the rest are lost if multiple people are working on the same doc.

We literally just went to Teams last week - it beats the pants off of Skype.

What's 8x8? We're still trying to figure this thing out as we do more and more remote conferencing.

It is a Voip conference call system/application. Being on satellite for everything where I live and that at times I do conduct international events Voip was the way to go for me so I do not have long distance charges and a more stable internet - not as fast as most on cable - normally - but right now I am having less issues than others.

The other function I really like is the Teams Chat portal, I have six different chat groups going at this time so when someone has a question or wants to share/show work they can ping you to see if you are available or just show the work so when you can get to it it is there to review and respond. I have the Teams Chat open all day just for that reason. I have several different groups with different chat rooms for different people within each group to communicate - hope that makes sense.

We're been doing that for years in Skype (formerly Lync), except that you had to manually start every group convo each day. The persistence of teams is great.

Also, being able to remove yourself from someone else's team is great. Some people just want to cloud up my feed. It's bad enough that I get 200+ emails a day - don't clutter my chat feed too.

People keep trying to do video with me and I'm like "nope, camera disabled." Seriously, stop trying to make it happen. This ain't zoom.

You are using it in a much larger operation/business than I. I only use it to communicate with partnering companies and some clients so I do not have that clutter issue. Like I said earlier, I think it is a great tool for small businesses but not sure Microsoft 365 has the band width to handle larger businesses - yet. 365 dropped Skype Business early last year and replaced it with their own video/audio platform. I have found it to add lag times to sharing documents hence the 8x8 use - no video but the admin can see who is on the call both in Teams and in the 8x8.

We're the Department of Veterans Affairs - 440K+ users, 540K+ systems (but office automation is not installed on medical platforms), and an almost completely VoIP enterprise. We're trying to be seamless, but the size is a nightmare. Our networking teams are phenomenal, and busting ass to keep up with shifting bottlenecks.

Our problem remains cloud. When this is all over, I suspect we'll be pulling some assets back because they're not providing the savings or convenience they promised.

    Morning Everyone !!!!:hattip:

Currently 55° clear , High 72° and light breeze from the NNE

Got awakened early this Morning , at 0500 this morning I heard my cats meowing loudly and clawing on my bedroom sliding window and vertical blinds . I look outside and I see a very young Bobcat laying on my patio

By then my neighbors dogs start barking loudly and then the Bobcat runs off
