Over dinner my wife and I watched the neighborhood kids teaching each other how to wheelie on their bikes. Entertaining and nostalgic

I got challenged once to ride a wheelie from where I lived to where my mom worked. Usual path was about 5 miles, but had many stoplights. I knew of a back way that was 7 miles with only one stop, the gate to get on base. The bet was modified to get to the gate, since it was further and everyone agreed it was safer. The prize was $100 total from 5 of my friends. If I lost, I would have lost $125. It took me almost an hour, but I was $100 richer.

Years ago I was driving along highway 407 in Toronto. It's a 10 lane freeway. I was going about 70mph.
I noticed something that looked weird in my driver's side view mirror way behind my, that was slowing getting closer. A few minutes later a guy on a motorcycle goes by me going about 75mph.
He was doing a wheely the whole time.
He just kept going as he pulled away from me.
Crazy as hell. But damn, l was impressed!

I stuck to doing crazy stuff when l was younger. Either in my Camaro or Grand Prix.
I would have surely killed myself if l had a bike.

    Finally done with the fence.

Inside the yard shots. But I did the outside as well.

I accidentally brought my buddies superhawk up to about 10 on the clock scale last summer. It doesn't have a gear indicator and I thought I was going 3rd to 2nd... actually went 2nd to 1st dropping the clutch and giving it full throttle. He was on my bike and I was doing a flyby. He said he looked over and the front wheel was around his head height as I passed. Needless to say that woke me up! Thankfully I've ridden for 8 years, and had the presence of mind to back it down slowly, grabbing second as I set it down and taking off. He swore I was going over backwards...

Thanks bud. Not too much work so far. Bluegrass and Fescue love cool weather. We'll see come August how she looks. But I do try to take care of it. Yard work is my decompression time.

Just got 22 mpg out of my last fill up in the 4banger. Any other 4 cylinder guys getting that high? It's a new record for me.

I got 25+ regularly from my RC, 4 cyl, 5 speed, 2WD. They key for me was keeping it under 70 mph. That seemed to be the aerodynamic wall for me. Anything both 70 and it dropped to the low 20s or lower.
