4F4D3B8D-AB1C-479F-BA1B-8D0E94A54B0B.jpg Aloha all, I’m somewhat new to the Raleigh, Nc area, I moved from Florida and my I had my front two windows tinted to match the rear windows awhile back. Anyways only thing I’m worried about not passing is the tint due to the front windows0E18F56F-350E-4B01-88E0-A56B347E2862.jpg . Does anyone know of any shops that would pass, or let it slide in the Raleigh area. Thanks and mahalo!

It should be fine if tinted to match. The limit is 32%.

It’s the extra $10 for checking it in the annual inspection that really grinds my gears.

damn that's nice, in Va it's 50% and the rear doors are 35% and they LOVE pulling you over here to check tint.

I used to do inspections, what is funny is the state requires that to get charged. It takes literally 5 seconds to put that little box on there and check.

If someone passes you with failing tint and it comes back to them it's a misdemeanor charge. I almost got a ticket for forgetting to punch the date on a sticker once. That was the last inspection i did, refused after that.

Welcome to the forum from Eastern North Carolina!

If the front window tint MATCHES the rear windows you should be good to go.

VA loves writing tickets. I make sure to lock in the cruise control whenever I have to pass through there to keep from creeping too far above the speed limit.

Nice subtle way of showing us that you just washed and waxed the truck. I know, I'm proud of mine too.

lol they really do! I got pulled last year for it, my front tint was 45%!!! Legal is 50% so he was just guessing and I'd imagine looking for other issues but he gave me a ticket anyway. Long ago my Father got a ticket here for doing 58 in a 55 :D

I'll second All-Pro. Good guys who stand behind their work. I've done about six or seven vehicles with them.

I had mine done a bit darker in the front you can't really tell in the truck, but you can some what outside. I think we ended up doing 30 percent on the front and leaving the backs the way they came. I've passed inspection twice once when they were really strict and you had to get it hooked up and stuff and this last time when all they do is check that's for here in Haywood NC. I pass cops all the time and they never give me a second glance unless they are looking at the truck Screenshot_20200405-185339_Photos.jpg Screenshot_20200405-185339_Photos.jpg

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
Cullen, if you just got here then you won’t have an inspection due for the first year anyway so you have plenty of time.

^What he said. BTW, your photos look like you took them at Umstead Park. Hopefully, they'll re-open it next week. Need to do some hiking!
