The "coding" I do isn't coding in that sense. I spend a lot of time in VBA writing Excel macros, SQL Server Management writing queries, and a lot of time in DAX creating calculated columns and the like. The rest is importing and joining various data sources, then making everything look pretty on the output side ;). I could use 6 monitors, but I make due with 2. I need a couple of monitors like @Misplaced Nebraskan 's. I swear that thing is 4 feet wide .

I want the 34” Dell Ultrawide but that’s too much for me right now. I do a lot of web coding and systems monitoring.

HAHA you should see the spreadsheets I have for the FD.. tracking times and attendance and locations.. took me a couple of months to plot out every address in my fire district so it all can be exported to Google Earth for a yearly and total display! HAHA just one spreadsheet is about 100 tabs.. that's just for the FD.. for work I have several spreadsheets totaling several hundred tabs just to plot mile markers and facilities and bases and airports etc...

I waited til it went on sale then stacked coupons and employee discount and got it for around 650 shipped iirc. I could justify that!

Then you need some custom sliders so a couple of them slide apart when you need to refill your drink!

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the winners of the first (and hopefully last ) Quarantine Cuisine Cook-Off!

We took the fan voting and ranked the entries 1st through 6th, with each getting a score from 11 down through 6. We then took the judges rankings and did the same thing. Every entry ended up with a score of 6 through 11 in both the fan voting and the judge's ranking. Those scores were then weighted - 60% for fan voting and 40% for judges' ranking. The resulting score is how the overall winner was determined.

Additionally, as noted in the rules, the winner of the fan voting can finish no lower than 2nd overall. The winner of the judges' ranking will finish no lower than 3rd overall.

With that, here are you final results:

First Place: Smoked Apple-bourbon Brined Pork Chop w/ Garlic Butter Seasoned Crawfish - @itzyoboipaul

Second Place: Pilsner Glazed Baby Back Ribs - @Casper66

Third Place: Stuffed Glazed Pork Chop - @DC 17_3

The fan voting was a runaway victory for @Casper66 ! Great job getting the word out and bringing in the votes!

The judges' voting was super, super close with a split decision for the top spot, but the final results of the judges' ranking was @itzyoboipaul. That, combined with a second place finish in the fan voting, was enough to take the top spot. @DC 17_3 with one HELL of a showing to take the third spot and win a prize.

The other entries, not just the finalists, but ALL entries were outstanding. It was a bit of a handful at times keeping it organized (and I still bonked that a bit ;)), but I enjoyed doing it. Wish I would have had a little more time to participate more in the discussion! Thank you all for your part in participating.

Winners, I'll be reaching out to you to get your address and arrange shipping out your prizes.

I'd love to hear feedback on the whole thing! This contest was put together on short notice to help with the quarantine blues, but we'll be doing another contest soon (this summer, most likely).

If you have an specific grievances to air out or want to yell at the judges, please PM @Misplaced Nebraskan :anonymous:

    Congrats to @itzyoboipaul , @Casper66 , and @DC 17_3 !

Congrats to all participants! This was a ton of fun and really really hard to judge! Everything was amazing and had it's own strengths! This was a great way to take our minds off of current events, if only for a moment. Thank you to @bvbull200 for putting this on and letting me participate in the judgement!

Congrats to @itzyoboipaul, @Casper66 and @DC 17_3. Was very hard to pick winners. All the food looked great.

I’m already trying to talk @bvbull200 into doing another one with a slightly different theme.

This was a lot of fun.
