I hated snakes for the longest.

Then about 2-3 years ago, I finally played around with several snakes on show at the Alameda County fairgrounds.

    Now I want one lol

I've seen them more than a few times. But it's usually been on trails that are rocky and cooler in the summer. There was the one I ran over on my mountain bike once.

AG posted a ig story with both the bamf and ag hangers side by side. i think he drew a line on the ag hangers and insinuated his hangers were the correct geometry for the tacoma rear end just because his mount at an angle and the bamf ones do not (basically a visual of what AG said on the youtube comment). then he made a regular ig post with the picture and continued to indicate he had a better product than bamf without any factual statements other than "mine has a taper and theirs doesnt match the frame taper of the tacoma"

    I like snakes :anonymous:.

I use to pay my bills through snake work. Worked at East Bay Vivarium in Berkeley from 19 -22 years old working with, handling, selling, and breeding snakes. Been bit countless times. Including big girls like anacondas, boas, and pythons. Got envenomated once by a rear-fanged mangrove snake. I use to drink a lot, so more bites as a result. Couple hospital trips from 6-foot lizard bites (water monitor). From 22 - 28 I did rattlesnake removal as a side gig, great money.

I havent looked at the statistics in a long time, but approximately 99% of rattlesnake bites are people that picked them up (95%), then mountain bikers like @ian408's situation, and hikers that stepped on or placed extremities within a foot or so of them. If you have line of sight you'll be fine.
