Here's my tried and true method for anyone that has the tools. Takes maybe 20-30 min per side this way. I also leave the leafs in place. Just undo the shackle obviously.

Grind heads off rivets with a flap disc

Smack the hanger with a 3lb hammer until it comes off. Flat chisel helps.

Grind the rest of the rivet flat with the frame

Knock the two side rivets out with an air hammer

Drill out the bottom two. Start with a 1/4" bit then go to a 1/2" bit or use a ball joint press and bolt to press out the rivet

Will the install of these shackle hangers require the spare tire to be removed and exhaust pipe to be cut?

Sorry about that. I don’t know about the exhaust tips side exits how it clears. I am chopped over the axle.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.

    As easy as that!

No need to remove the tire or cut the pipe with the hangers alone. I do recommend cutting the tail pipe is you will end up taking it out on the trail.

Thank you! Had a quick question regarding your HD shackles for the Tacoma. Currently, I am running stock shackles with the Dakar medium packs. Recently, I've noticed the second leaf on these packs is binding with the stock shackle and making a really annoying metal on metal nose. The second leaf extends into the shackle's cavity (see pics attached). Have you guys had this problem before with the combination of your shackle hangers and HD shackles combined with the Dakar leaf packs?

Yep. I just trimmed the second leaf about an inch or inch and a quarter. Common issue. My Deavers don't do that, however, just the Dakars.
