02 has the shifter on the floor. Put it in neutral and shift it to 2wd. It’s the little shifter next to the gear shifter. Or if you have a manual I believe it’s behind it.

If you have been driving on hard surface roads in 4wd some times you need to back up to help release the torque bind before it will come out.

At times it takes a few yards to release and the light to go out.

I'm guessing the 5speed stick and J shift are too self explanatory to need visor mounted instructions.

The left one is from my 2000 Tacoma and on the right is a 2003 tacoma. I was fortunate to have these when I bought the truck and parts from the 2003. Thanks

It was removed and discarded then.

No, they came with the truck when new, it just has departed from the visor at some point. I have the card for my 2003.

Not weird if you have locking hubs, as that card is for those models.

It would have had to have been removed!!

What i meant out of the dozens of Toyota 4x4`s I worked on they were all missing then when your dealing with 20 plus year old vehicles easy to understand.

You've seriously never seen those stickers on the visors?

My '86 4Runner had them, my brother's 92 had them, my '04 Taco and my '17 4Runner all have them, too.

Not a one they were all gone I knew they were there when they left the dealers lot.

Then most of these vehicles were in rough shape most after other shops had given up .

Owners had given up mostly real simple things .

It's not a sticker on the Tacomas... It's a printed paper card that slips into the clear plastic pocket. The SRS stuff is adhered directly to the visor and "non-removable".

ok, you got me there. I failed to specify the exact form the 4x4 instructions take.

My point was that they are easily removed as cards, but the heat transferred decal stickers for SRS and some other things are not, which is why they have departed most trucks.
