Thanks Ryan. The upper shock mounts on the hoops are two pieces that have been tig welded together. They have overlay plates welded to them. It makes the mount stronger than a single piece and lighter than a solid piece of that thickness.

 

Ahhh that’s what I’m seeing. The photo is hard to see if they’re welds in those recessed parts or if it was milled out. Looks so good man.

Finally got @Laoturk truck headed home with him last weekend. Here’s the finished product. We build him a custom set of hoops for his access cab. In house built bump stop mounts. Installed a set of deaver u402 leaf springs, @ARCHIVE hammer hangers, and our hammer hanger crossbar. We pulled the leafs apart and cycled everything. Built a custom tire carrier in the bed. It will house up to a 37” tire. It was also designed to tie the shock hoops together and reinforce the rear suspension. Shock hoop cross bar is removable for hauling dirt bikes or furniture. For the rear we build him a tube bumper with tow hitch and added dimple died filler panel. We trimmed the bedsides to match the higher departure angle of the bumper and build new bed side supports. We can’t wait to get the truck back in for a front bumper and upgraded front suspension.

I think everything I have seen you do is the cleanest I have seen for a Tacoma. How long would you need the truck to gusset the spindles and alignment tabs usually?
