    Did the ammo can on rails mod. Think I’ll have to make some more homemade rail mounts (like for quickfists and such that I made before) because the weight of the can is obviously straining on the rail/slot nut.

    Replaced the factory speakers with some Rockford Fosgate R169 6x9's for the front and R165 6.5's for the rear. They pair very well with the Kicker/Subaru tweeters.

    Yeah it’s a nice mod. I mostly did it to run Meso’s turn signals and puddle pods. And I asked the op for help. He did provide me with more information and pictures than what is in that thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-mirrors-on-a-2nd-gen.544814/

    definitely a sick mod. Where'd you source your color matched mirrors from?

    Right on, I was looking into these. Did you need any extra hardware or mounting brackets or are the included?

    Ordered some terminals and connector housings from https://www.easternbeaver.com/Main/Elec__Products/Connectors/connectors.html

    I priced out the repair wire part from Toyota which is the terminal and 6" length of wire. $18 :eek: (I need 6 of them)
    I found the correct terminal on easternbeaver.com, it's only $0.24 so I ordered 10.

    I still need to order 2 connector housings from Toyota, can't find them online and they are only about $7 a piece.

    (these parts are for my power mirror install)

    @Chris(NJ)

    I followed @boogie3478 's how to video on YouTube, they're not 100% plug and play but the mods needed to make them work are pretty easy. Tweeters were purchased from Amazon.

    I used the metra wiring adapters & mounting brackets for the install, purchased separately on Amazon.

    Thanks for your feedback. Any particular reason why Optimas should be avoided? I have a brand new Yellow top now and was planning on getting a second for this dual kit.. Which battery combo do you recommend?

    Really have not done anything to them, they are 4+ yrs old, got some scratch's from rocks etc...I have been very pleased with them....the caps are yellowed etc...water doesn't run off like they have any kinda coating PTFE etc but mud etc pretty much just hose's off...thinking I got lucky and just got a set that had a good finish...sorry to hear your's are peeling..

    I really want a set of one of these..https://braidusa.com/collections/off-road

    just cant bring myself to do this :spending:......
