In my opinion you were definitely in the wrong. You didn't yield, you swerved.

per park rules, you're probably correct, but I did slow up for her...which is yielding...I just didn't stop, get off my bike, off the trail, and open the pearly gates for her to walk by.

I said earlier I know how it is and the rules, but doesn't mean I have to like it...

Haha! If I have to hop off I usually start an awkward conversation and if I see them again they usually give me a "hand wave" to go ahead.

it's really never bothered me on any trail, and I totally understand the rule. certain situations it's absolutely perfect, switchbacks and such for example. this one just bothered me because it is literally the fastest trail we have at our park and that even though I slowed up, and went off the trail for her she still yelled at me. have not once had another encounter where the hikers didn't yield for us just as much as we did for them, until Karen here.

Which trail was it? Lots of weirdos coming up from the free parking on the sharp corner off of Bankhead Pkwy.

If it takes an internally routed dropper, I have a 170 stealth reverb post that I'd sell you for dirt cheap.

Sorry man, I'm siding with her here. It certainly could be that the camera doesn't do it justice, but I think she's totally right to tell you to slow down. I don't even think she did it in a mean way. If that were me hiking or biking, I'd say the same thing. Even if a hiker steps off the trail for me, which I agree they can and should, I usually slow down to a crawl.

yep, that's actually where we park, too.

Not much, would like to stay under $500 although i realize that's not much to work with at all and single wheels basically go for that haha. But as said, probably anything will be better than my current ones. Id say 700 or less. Really wanna throw some 2.5 Maxxis's on but i have 27mm inner width rims. I know they're designed around a 30-35mm inner width rim, although im not sure how much thats marketing or not. They do make valid points as to why they recommend it, even though i have seen many many people do it on a lesser width rim. What do the bike guru's think?

Even though its short, Dummy Line is probably my favorite. Bluffline is good too. Do you ever park off of Monte Sano Blvd? There are some really sweet trails there too. I connected them all one day when it was too hot and nearly had a heat stroke after I finished.

wait....are you local to Monte Sano?

We actually haven't ridden Dummy Line. Bankhead is probably my favorite trail overall, Cold Springs is just the one I've been able to go fastest on. We've done bluffline and man that is a CHUNKY trail.

Off Monte Sano Blvd? Where specifically do you mean, the hiker's parking lot?

Once a season before I put it away, maybe once or twice during depending on how sloppy it gets in the late season. I do make sure to keep my wiper seals and chain clean though.
