So I figured out my drain situation. Turns out there are drains with the right threads to fit in the pvc adapter. Home Depot didn't sell any but another hardware store did. 20200419_174319.jpg
Just an FYI in case someone else wants to go this route. It's my laundry drain and sink in the basement. Should have plenty of flow.

Can you give me more info on this? So your washer and sink drain are connected? I’m about to have to come up with a solution for that myself.

I will start by saying I am not a plumber and someone will probably say this isn't supposed to be this way, but as you can see in the pic, I branched the sink drain to the right and there is a 2" standpipe for the washing machine above the sink level. The two come together and go down into the floor drain to the left where there is an air inlet above it. All of it is 1.5" sched 40 pvc.

Just finished staining mine. A lot of work. Took 4 days. I brushed it all...both inside and outside....except in the 4th pic. I only did the outside (my inside) of my neighbor's fence. I used Thompson Water Seal in Autumn Brown.

Thanks. It had been a few years since I last stained it. Not something I enjoy doing. But, such is life when owning a home. Gotta take care of it. My fence and neighbor's fence (the one on the left in the 1st pic) are both 15 years old. Mine has held up well with regular maintenance. His is literally falling apart in areas. One thing I've learned over the years....you can't ignore wood....of any kind. Moisture and sun will find a way to turn it to dust if you aren't vigilant

My last house had a cedar fence around it and a two-tier cedar deck. Staining those every few years got old real quick. That's precisely why when we had our new house built I didn't put a fence up.

Then I built a wall around the patio, instead.

my house was built in 1980. judging from the fact that the full grown trees have grown through the fence, I believe that the fence must be at least 20-30 years old, if not original to the house. I'm kind of surprised it is still in as good of shape as it is. I can tell where the supports have been replaced over the years, and truthfully, I may have to make repairs soon also.

I'm hoping to ease some of the pain with composite decking.

I wanted a big concrete patio when we built the house. The wife wanted a deck. She has 36DDs. We have a deck. o_O

That hurts my knees just thinking about installing it. I'm sure it will be beautiful when finished though

Some asshole stole my previous one, so I went and bought this beauty. Don’t know that this particular model is useful to most of you, but man it’s awesome. It will measure out to 825’ which is impressive. I need that kind of range because of the size buildings I build.
These are so accurate it never ceases to amaze me. Down to a gnats ass.

This model is about $325, but I don’t care I didn’t pay for it.

Got my shed walls started last night. Used my newly acquired Dewalt DCN692 20v framing nailer. Heavy but the convenience and quickness of cleanup is worth it. In a house with a newborn it arguably is what makes this project possible.

i use one of those for work daily. I have one that also draws the measurements into my bidding program where i can assign products and whatnot from my ipad. Works awesome.
