Brought one of our stand up sanders home with a scrape-away blade. Made quick work of my test spot for old adhesive removal. So now ill finish the rest of the slab this weekend.

I want to stain and then seal the patio concrete as its lightweight concrete and i do not want it to ash when we're out using it and to be protected. Anyone have any recommendations?

I don't know what model I have at work or if it will shoot that far (I've only gone about 150 feet) but it worked beautifully when I was given one day to draw from scratch in AutoCAD a 35,000 square foot former grocery store we were leasing.

I had real good luck with Legacy Industrial dye and sealer. Here's my shop, patio and garage.

Opinions on composite vs wood decking? More than likely selling house down the road if that makes a difference

Thanks! Like most jobs the prep work sucked but the actual application (garden sprayer for dye, 18" roller for the sealer) wasn't bad.

If you're going to sell anyway, wood is cheaper. Composite could be a selling point to the right buyer, though.

That's what I am leaning towards. No sanding or staining on composite keeps trying to pull me other way

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
How far down the road are you selling? If you're talking a couple years then i would go with wood and just do the basic maintenance on it. If you are talking 10 years then go composite so you can enjoy not doing the maintenance on it. LOL

Looking for some direction. I have a downspout that I want to bury. I have done a couple in the front but this one in the backyard has me scratching my head to do the best way so I’m looking for advise. I live in Texas so I’m not too worried about freezing ( or maybe I should be lol ). I have to temporarily hook a corrugated pipe to let the water drain into the pool because it completely floods the bed that is right against the house. There is nowhere for it to go so my thought was to make the run to around the side of the house. Because the downspout drops right into the bed it would be hard for me to bury and make an immediate 90 degree turn. I was thinking of installing a catch basin for the water to drop into then make my run along the side of the house, down the bed and around the corner to the side of the house. Any suggestions or better alternatives?

Should I use straight pvc pipe or double walled corrugated pipe the entire run or both? Mainly straight runs except around the corner. The run in total will be about 75 ft. I just need to move the water so how deep does the pipe need to be? I e been racking my brain since we moved in and maybe there is a cheaper/less intensive solution. I was even thinking of a rain barrel but I don’t think I can get it to drain fast enough by the time it fills up. We don’t get long rains, just very heavy 5-10 min spurts.

I am not worried about the bed because I will address that after.

    Thanks in advance

I would just trench an area you want it to go, and install a weeping system. Basically the pipe you have but perforated with the sock covering so dirt doesn’t get in the pipe. Lay in and stone and cover it with a little stone and backfill it in. Might cause a little more water pooling in the yard during really heavy rains depending on your soil and the amount of rain.

are you able to daylight the pipe where you want it to end up with 1/8" to 1/4" of fall from that downspout location ?

ie 10-20" of fall for the approx 75' of run you mentioned ?
