Night/day difference you’ll get so much more droop and the ride is better.
This is the only pic I have on hand.

I keep forgetting to post this up. This is how I trimmed my Dakars to elevate rubbing on the Shackle. It's not the greatest but I wanted to keep the anti friction pad without relocating it. Haven't had any rubbing since the January install but haven't been wheeling yet either. 20200422_110926.jpg 20200422_110837.jpg

will definitely be looking out for this. some feedback...please make one that tucks up into the tire mount area(keep it up and out of the way from dragging on anything).

    Any idea (ballpark) on cost?

I carry my spare in the stock location, but I could see maybe running the brace when I offroad or tow (just throw the spare in the bed)... then just take it off for DD.

Shit bolted onto other shit, and junk.
yeah, I have seen some bolted into the stock cross brace above it. Either way, bolted plates to the hangers and an offset crossbar shouldn’t be too technical. I really can’t stand the factory sheet metal crossmember and want to just cut it out.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
It will be tucked up high!

I'm trying to keep it as cost effective as well as be in mutable pieces for shipping.

Probably couldn't get enough rigidity out of the pipe and plates to make this worth it... but I wonder if you could have the brace wrap around the spare. The mounting plates could still bolt to the hanger in the standard location, but would have a 90° wrap around the hanger to offer a surface for the pipe to be welded to.

You could even triangulate it off the hitch :notsure:

This. That's what I would do if my spare was a concern.

Like you, I would question the rigidity. It might be worth it to just toss the spare in the bed. Or, find the hitch?

I still have the hitch, collecting dust in my garage. I installed a RCI hidden hitch bumper, so the new hitch location is higher up. I'm sure I could incorporate the brace into the the hitch that I have, but it would be a custom design, not something that could be mass produced.

Maybe I'll work with some local fabricators to come up with something.
