@StormTroop425 looks GREAT! Mind if I ask what size/model tire you went with there?

That's a horrible idea. What time?
I'm looking at the same kit. How much lift did you end up with?

Thanks! 285/75/16 BFG AT2! Not as stiff as I was expecting but much heavier. Love the look, I have zero issues rubbing right now, I'm just nervous I will have some rubbing issues fully loaded but time will tell. I don't do any serious wheeling but I like to get off the grid on occasion.

Awesome, thanks for sharing your opinion and experience, greatly appreciated.

I thought I would go that direction, but hoped for a consumer review.

Yes, you can add waypoint. Not sure about exporting. I primarily use it in areas where I have no cell coverage. I download a map of the area I am going to be ahead of time. Once there I mark where my truck is parked and then hike to the areas I want to go. Then, if I get turned around I can always use it to get back to my truck. As a guy who is directionally challenged, it’s saved my bacon several times. I use it when hunting or hiking.

I have a Ram mount. The one in the picture is for my older Ipad Air. I have a 7th gen holder on the way here.

I have an 18 Pro and have been wanting to do this. How did you prep the chrome. Did you paint it on the truck or remove it. Thanks

I should also throw in a pitch for getting a satellite communicator, like the garmin inreach, for emergencies in areas w/o cell coverage. Never thought I needed one until a buddy and I hiked into a wilderness area to flyfish. Long story short, on the 3rd day out, I slipped off a ledge over the river falling some distance and breaking/dislocating my shoulder. Buddy had to hike for 4 hours to get a cell signal and I got a helicopter ride out to the hospital. I immediately bought a garmin inreach. A5C7ED9A-FF3D-490F-B25E-45BBF6A5F7C9.jpg

Yeah that's always a real possibility. I'm thinking hard about the inreach, but we're not going that heavy into the deep end. Lol. I did have the same thing happen in Germany when climbing the Alpspitze. We were late coming back, no phone service and the boss was picking up the phone to launch the helicopers for the search when I made the call from a Alpine Hut land line. That would have cost between $10-$15,000. I'm poor. Lol

Very cool. I was looking at the one that attaches to the bottom of the passenger seat. Looks like this is bolted into the truck, is that right? I'll have to try and find that on their site.

I got very lucky in one way. They sent a California Highway Patrol Rescue Helicopter. No charge! I have very good insurance so my hospital stay and operation were covered. After months of recovery and physical therapy my shoulder felt like it did in High School. Too bad they couldn’t do the rest of my body. Seriously, accidents do happen in areas w/o cell coverage and it’s nice to have backup.

Got tired of dropping tools and other hardware down the engine bay. So I made my engine cover useful by bolting a plastic tray and magnet sheet to it.

I gave her a deep clean today. Took apart some bits to really get every particle of pollen out.

Then I went ahead and put some vinyl wheel overlays from @rrentrop aka tvdvinyls.

It took several hours, a bird shit on me, and I burnt myself a few times with the heat gun, but damn do those look good. Even my fiance was impressed -- she never gives a shit about what I do with the truck.

I also put in the meso gasshole.

I left the exhaust on the truck. I have access to a hoist where I work so I removed the tire, splash gaurd and slipped off the rear hanger. Used a long pry bar against the spare and exhaust to hold the exhaust down. Wedged it in.
I prepped with a scotch brite pad and cleaned laquer thinner. Used the entire can just slowly applying coat by coat. Use plastic to cover quarter panel overspray. Just make sure no dust or dirt above your pipe that might fall out while spraying.
    Hope this helps.
