On your Mac. It’s one of the native applications. Then you just need a windows iso. You can download one from Microsoft. Bootcamp is all wizard driven and will do everything for you. You don’t need to worry about Windows licensing, I only use mine for tuning and don’t want it to update or anything anyway.

it’s native windows, so yeah anything will work on it.

I’d just get vf when it’s available. It’s the way of the future.

Thanks, Shellshock & KnuckleChldrn, appreciate the thread...I'm getting back into Taco'land and have been trying to get myself up to speed with this tune before pulling the trigger on my 'new' buy! Cheers!

Sorry. Missed this message some how. Probably due to arguing with the dev thread morons.

that looks like a hand held for the second gen trucks. It’s different than the third gen.

Me too! So for first timers like myself, is this supposed to cost $379 for vftuner and then additional for the tune packs?

It is all new to everyone at this point. Give it a few weeks to launch and for users to post experiences.

It will certainly be less expensive for new folks to get involved, depending on how many ECU licenses you want.

stock? not really. you could but you really had to try. the accumulator would get in the way and there wasn't enough power on the low end.

on 2.0? yeah I can light them up, no clutch dropping required. get a little loose surface like gravel and you have to be careful when you pull up the in RPMs as the power will kick in and they'll cut loose. done it in second gear many times.

When i did hard shift few times from 1st to 2nd at about 5k-5.5k it squeals the rear tires for a second or so. Was able to do that before ADM too. Even was possible on my archaic 4.0 ranger with 217 hp haha, i was surprised.

Ive never tried to launch to burn rubber, i feel bad for my clutch ha, only got 16k miles on my truck. But i did dump the clutch at about 3k and it does a small burnout and just goes. Trac off of course.

I guess i got lucky with my truck. Its got good power, i feel very confident driving in city traffic. I am curious about the OVtune though. I will get it eventually if its still available, but first i would like to get the sliders, much more useful for me.

I have some 0-60 runs posted around here somewhere on the 04B13 tune, fully stock other than the ADM. There was pretty good tire scrub happening going into 2nd. One run was SNAFU'ed due to getting too much spin, wrap, and hop. 8.0sec 0-60 were not too hard to do. Quicker than that just took a lot of tries. I got one 7.2sec or 7.3sec?

I have been meaning to repeat this with OVT, but there are really no clear, flat areas near me to do this. I had to find some farm roads up near the border.

At times, I get chirps going into 2nd with 1.05 FOB and 2.0 SFOB with the stock tires or the grippier Wildpeaks.
