Scooped up a 3rd Gen.............4runner that is....

Took a road trip down south to scoop up a third gen 4runner for my son this past weekend...4cyl 5spd 4x4 with no rust and a recent lift (OME w/ 5100s).... towed it home with my Taco, besides crappy gas mileage towed it like a champ....

I love that model. My first vehicle was a 96' 4Runner and I wouldn't mind owning another 4Runner sometime down the road again.

 

Nice find.... Wish my Gen 3 4runner had that combo.... 4 cyl with an automatic was not especially invigorating to drive

The kids nicknamed it "Old Pokey", used a sundial to measure 0-60 times, and never ever pulled out in front of anyone.

 

Aint gonna win any races, but the thing looks clean and will go wherever you point it for a long time! 3rd gen 4 runners are bitchin.

I think this is one of the best looking generations of the 4runner.

That's great...lol.... This better than an old Subaru 1.6L that I had.... it had half the HP this thing does, seriously that thing was a snail....

This thing is like a time capsule, under carriage is beautiful and rust free, only very minor surface rust on exhaust system.... Guy also passed along receipts for service going back 3 owners.... It basically has no options, which for a vehicle of its age I am ok with...less stuff to break.
