    Hi-

Does anyone know if they will be making any more Double Cab 4x4s in the U.S. or will they all be made in Mexico?

The Baja Mexico plant is great, but I am wondering if they will make any in San Antonio.

I have searched hundreds of dealers through Edmunds and have not seen a single US made Double Cab (Vin Starting with 5). On the other hand, I have not seen a single Access Cab or Reg Cab that was made in Mexico (Vin starting with 3).

I called my dealer and the Toyota Experience line and nobody could answer this.

    Thanks.

Crap. I missed that one. Thanks!

    Cool - thank you!

Over all, it seems that DC's (TRD Trim Levels) are currently in short supply.

IIRC 5 means made in the US more specifically Cali. I would be very surprised if it all was made or came from US factories though.

Good point - regardless of where it's assembled - the engine and tranny are built in the U.S. (according the window sticker).

They need to go back to making Toyota's in Japan. American made Toyota's suck. The late 80's and early 90's Toyota's are the toughest cars and trucks out there.

x2 i really think that was a big issue with this whole gas pedal fiasco. IF they were japanese maybe this wouldnt have happened. Atleast in the Tundra the Engine and Transmission is from japan.

Im guessing mine was made in mexico, my VIN starts with a 3.

The one I'm looking at signing on tomorrow starts with a 3 as well. Some of the paperwork even says Baja.
