If I have the windows cracked, doing 70 down the interstate, I can hardly hear the music without turning it all the way to max. I'm just looking for something better that's plug and play. Do those sound good?

I'd like to go ride that Coppinger's Cove place next time we get a chance. That place looks amazing!

It's hard to go wrong with JBL stuff, but JL Audio has always been my go to for car audio.

Never heard any but they look super high end with all the copper used in the build material.

@cubie go to crutchfield.com and look for the size speakers that you want. Really the only way to make speakers loader is MORE POWER, so add an amp and replace all speakers that have an RMS close to your amps RMS output. Or replace your stereo (which already has some more power) and get mid grade speakers that don't want much RMS.

I don't know jack about stereos. Don't really want to go the amp route, just something that would be optimized with the power of my radio. Probably mid-grade speakers.

I'll check em out. Much more in my budget range than the gold-plated ones that @JBTacoma have.

They are competition speakers for sound quality. I was into audio for a long time, I have a closet full of amps, speakers, digital signal processors and sound equipment.

I use to compete all over the south east with Tacoma trucks lol

I had a 97 and an 07 Tacoma I had 12 speakers, signal processors and 4900 watts of power in them, not to be loud but to sound like you was sitting in front of a live band. It was loud but the intent was quality sound and a good sound stage

DAMN MAN that is clean install. Did you do all that custom molding in there? Rockford Fosgate was/is the best in the biz for a long time for the low notes.

Down for Coppinger's Cove one day as well!

Back in the late 90s I had a 4wd geo tracker (wish I still had!) But I was young and dumb and put 8 kicker comp 10s powered by 4! of the amazingly old-school Orion 250 amps. Everything rattled and didn't help my hearing - even tho I am mostly deaf in my left ear from later years having a lapua338 shot inches from my head..
