Hey everyone , I am new to TW I have a question about lifting my 2017 Tacoma TRD OR I was wondering what is the best tire size and lift kit you would go with for a daily/overland Tacoma ..I recently came across a great deal on a pair of KO2 295/75/16 on SCS f5 -20 offset.. I don’t wanna do any cutting to the truck so I think I need to go smaller if anyone can help it would be appreciated thanks .

You'll rub. CMC most likely and some fender and whee liner trimming as well.

Ok thanks . Yea I was thinking about going smaller on the tires bc I don’t want to do any cutting. Was thinking about a 2.5” lift just not sure what’s the biggest size I could fit without cutting .

I haven't pulled the trigger yet but with my measurements I'm not seeing why a 275/70/18 with my 2" lift. Going to add 1.25 spider spacers too.

    Also have aftermarket steelcraft bumper.

You can definitely fit 33s without cutting on the cab mount if you replace the upper control arms with some adjustable UCAs like SPC and adjust the caster alignment as far forward as possible. The only trimming you’ll have to do is a little on the front side of the fender plastic. I did this with a 2” lift. I now have a 2.5” lift because I upgraded my suspension to coilovers.

OP, just do a search. This info has been posted many times over and over. You’ll see all the people fitting them without trimming and those that did have to trim. Then you can see which route you’ll have to take as to not require cutting on the cab mounts.
