Can you replace interior door accent panels on a 16'

I have tan... wanna trade? Lol... the team is SOOOO ugly! I hate it. Im about to attempt to remove them an spray paint them black.. If I get the balls to do so I'll post pics if it turns out decent lol

 

Tan? I thought the soft parts of the door panel only came in red or black.

 

I would love to trade someone with the red ones. I live in louisville KY. I have the black ones that most of us have.

 

I actually grew a pair of balls and spray painted my door panel. Gotta say it came out better then I thought it would!

What's the texture like? I feel like after a few elbows it would start cracking..

 

I bought a clear glaze to give over it. Havent put it on yet . But without it the texture ain't bad at all

 

I wonder if plasti dip would work. Seeing as its basically rubber and may flex with the fabric

 

But doesnt it turn into a hard like plastic afterwards?

 

If you use vinyl dye, it will not crack. Dyed vinyl will probably last as long as your truck. If you take the time to remove them, you can cover the card in what every you want.

What is the original material for these interior accents anyways? Toyota Tacoma 2017? Vinyl or some other type of fabric?

 

I think it varies on trim level. I have a Limited, I believe mine are Toyota's Sofftex (AKA Toyota's brand of vinyl).

It is my understanding that the lower trims, SR5 and SR, have a cloth on the doors and dash. I am not sure about the Sports and OR 'casue I am old and don't remember what the one's I looked at had on the doors and dash. I don't think they offered leather on those trims for 2017.

In SoCal. I would trade for red door panels if possible.
