OVTuned 4.88 Speedometer

After a lot of searching online and on the OVTuned.com I'm unclear what the 4.88 gearing tune does. Hopefully the next person who googles this finds this thread.

Is it just changing the ecu/tcu tuning or is it also capable of changing the calibration of the speedometer?

No speed-o changes at this time. It's in a different computer ... not the ECU this does the speed-o.

For the AT it also changes the shifting points for the different gears ..... 4.88 -vs- stock ..., etc.
