    Dongle in the mail.

    For those running 2.0, how’s the 3-4 shift on 32s with stock gears?

    If you haven't updated yet, give it a couple of days as Mat has a revision in the works to correct some little things. ETA was later this week.

    People that are sending dongles to Mat have no choice but to wait. They have no means to load a tune until they receive the authorization key for p5Flash.

    @OVTune re: 04B04+2.0+Final+Test/04B04+2.0+Base+91+OL+31+-+33T on 265/70/17

    Good morning. I’ve given the tune a few days and could give it a couple more but wanted to get this in before tomorrow so here goes:

    First of all thanks Mat. The “bumpy road feeling” I still had on 2.0 is gone. Nice smooth acceleration. The issue of being in too high of a gear after coming out of a slow hard right turn is gone. 3-4 quick shift gone. I think I even have had the 1.05 93P power return (running 93 octane here) that I didn’t have in the previous 2.0. There’s prob some other goodies my morning brain isn’t thinking of at the moment.

    But I have an issue or two I’m not hearing others mention.

    1) I have almost 200 miles on the corrected tune now and some upshifts are lurchy/not smooth.
    1-2 and 5-6 are smooth as silk but upshifts 2-5 are lurchy. The 3-4 and 4-5 shifts were mellowing out over added miles yesterday but this morning they came back. 2nd-3rd is the worst and has not mellowed or changed at all.
    Question: I ran the first reiteration of the tune (yes I reset both LV and AT) for a bit where you had to fix the ignition(?), but after I loaded your corrected tune I only reset LV, not AT since it was not tranny related. Should I Reset AT to see what happens?

    2) This one has been mentioned by a couple others but for me it’s a little more critical. At 35-45 mph I’m almost at 1k rpm at times so the drivetrain is jerking. Perhaps a slight adjustment there?

    Thanks!!

    - John

    OK everyone, I work on cars for a living and know all about flashing, from PCMs to door modules, (O.E. that is) I've been trying to figure this one out and haven't found what I actually need to do what all of you are doing, I'm sure I may be able to find it in the 3000 plus pages here??? not looking for anyone to explain it to me but just a point in the direction (or link). Thank you in advance

    There's no way I'm going to start checking you guys for a dongle before I reply - it's just not going to happen!

    That's understandable. But the problem is that once someone has placed their dongle in the mailbox they have no way to load ANY tune. Not any .pcm tune they may have saved, and not any .p5f tune that is available now. I sent mine in a week ago, but I don't know how long it should take to get the key for the p5Flash software. I've asked, but no one has answered.

    I understand and do empathize with those having to take extra steps. Nice that Mat offered a good deal on the upgrade. I was more joking than giving dongles a hard time.

    It's okay. I think most of us are still waiting. Mat did say that his developer celebrates Easter a week later (Orthodox faith) so I think we're waiting on the dev

    Hopefully today starts fresh and positive compared to yesterday. We cannot get upset about that which we cannot control. Keep faith in Mat and he will deliver as usual.
