Team O’Neil posted a pretty good TRD Off-road review.

Same here, usually I do watch or read full reviews but when I sense that the whole mission here is to bash I'm like f...you!, all one has to do is watch Matt's towing and recovery on opptube and you can see full size SUVs with "4x4" getting stuck in sand,mud...there is one episode where a Raptor gets rescued...not to mention jeeps, f150's, f250's and so on...

Two words: Manual Transmission. Can you find that in a 3rd gen SR5?

How much did you pay for your SR5?

Funny...when a reviewer says things that a particular individual agrees with...it's "spot on". Otherwise, it's a crap review and the reviewer has no idea what he's talking about!

CC works amazing for going downhill in slippery conditions. I don't use it in my adventures regularly for anything else. It allows you to make sharper turns in 4wd without pushing the front end.

The two things i do realy miss having an SR5 and not a Trd OR are the factory E locker and the pitch/rollover sensor.

Everything else will be gutted. But damn even if u put in a locker, which is costly, you still wont have the pitch sensor.

I'm not proud to say that I used Crawl Control to successfully get out of a huge sunken mud mess BEFORE I even had a tag on my truck. This is my first 4WD, and I just figured it couldn't get stuck. You know you're a dumb-ass when you are by yourself, stuck in the mud, and you're telling yourself out loud what a dumb-ass you are!! I was amazed and how well it worked...and how loud it was...thought it was broken. Oh well...you live and you learn.

Of course they do...and nothing wrong with that. I personally don't care for the hood scoop, which is why I don't have one. But, that's why Toyota makes different models...because different people like different things.

Thats because you don’t offroad...you are basically making a conclusion about something you know nothing about.

I'd bet only a few actually 'upgrade' the suspension because most are just pretty boy lifts to hold 'aggessive looking' tires on their everyone-has-them black wheels. 'Change' the suspension might be more accurate.

And while upgraded tires are certainly useful if one actually off roads more than graded trails, they don't all 'have' to be 285s. Again, a looker thing.

Not that there is anything wrong with that.

True. The question is what do they mean when they are actually off road? Ummmm, nothing?

I would pay to have a 'delete' of those options instead of being forced to take them in an OR package.

But it's good for those folk to stimulate the economy and line Toyota's pockets.

There IS something fundamentally wrong with these things on a Toyota pickup truck. According to just me.

Easy peasy. Slap it on the dash.

Used as a budget friendly way to tell bucket truck operators that they are parked on too much pitch to run the boom out the down side.

    You're welcome. :D
