2020 Headlights

Dumb question, but do all the 2020's have LED headlights? If not, any easy way to find out if mine has them. Didn't pay much attention to the options when I bought it....

 

No, they are an option on the TRD models and are MUCH better than the halogen units. If you have them, they will look like this.

The basic Trd off-road does not have the LED head lights tho but just the drl. Just the higher off-road trim has the LED headlights.

 

You can get LED on basic offroad, I have it on mine and it is the basic TRD OR. Just need to make sure you find one with it. It's just like a $450 addon.

 

The LED headlights are awesome. You see everything on the road and combined with the auto high beam it’s great.

You should just be able to tell by looking at it, look at the pic at the top of the thread, the headlights are vastly different in looks. LED has the sequential wrap around DRL, halogens are just the small L DRL.

 

I thought the only trim with the sequential was the TRD Pro?

 

No, they all are sequential.

In fact, the LEDs are exactly the same except the OR models dont have the super tacky TRD PRO lettering in them.

No idea why they labeled the parts that way in the parts catalog, but the DRL/turn signals of the pro and non pro function exactly the same way.

You aren't kidding. Number one cosmetic thing I dislike about my truck. It just so ricy.

 

Since this has pretty much been answered I just wanted to throw in that they are awesome and well worth the price!

 

Whether true or not, when I bought mine, I was told by the dealer that I could not get the LED headlights on my OR without also getting the premium package, which I didn't want. So, I have LED DRLs but not LED headlights. I'm not sure the dealer was correct, but I had a hard enough time getting a manual transmission, so I relented.

I was told similarly and gave up the fight. I do think at some point I’ll just order and replace the standard OR ones.

 

Not sure, they had mine on site, didn't have to search for it. Wasn't a special build, didn't have tech or premium. Just had bed lights, bed mat, and all weather floor mats.

 

These are aftermarket alpharex headlights. Look similar to the 2020 pro headlights except they have quad projectors. Might be cheaper than the oem led lights. Also they have sequential signals. I love them.

 

these are awesome except for the tacky alpharex logo....maybe ill buy a set to rip open and make it say upTOP.....
