Yep. It's a crazy time to be living in. This should have sent markets scuttling. Should being the key word. It's hard to believe any of this is priced in at current levels.

Markets react to expectations. 4.4 is a lot. Buuuut it’s better than we expected so good news for the market.

I know what markets react too. I've explained guidance on here a few times to folks already. If you've got an expected unemployment rate of 20% and a 30% drop minimum in GDP that should drive markets to sell. Like sell way below where we currently are now. I'm not complaining about it I just truly don't understand what's propping the market up currently.

Because it’s not real unemployment. Everything isn’t what it would normally seem. We already know all the normal businesses are closed or scaled back. Now, when this wraps up, and some businesses stay closed, then the unemployment numbers will matter again

You can find all these stories about small business owners getting these payroll funds so they can keep paying employees through the shutdown, and the employees saying don’t you dare, I’m making more with unemployment with the extra $600. Or businesses that want to reopen soon, and employees are saying the same thing. So they are unemployed, but many have the same or more earnings they’ve always had. The government has propped everything up, so it’s tough to know what really matters until we get down the road a bit.

I agree the rebound will most likely happen quickly. It's still a real loss of GDP and profit.

You don’t get to the top without lying, stealing, and cheating I guess. By then, you can afford whatever fines come your way, and the world can’t seem to function without you.

Anyone have experience with webull or TD for paper trading? Looking between the 2 to start playing around with options that don't involve losing money right out the gates.

Webull has paper trading tab, looks just like the regular trading interface, has all the trading options

WTInis going up pretty good as well, I’m at 38.5%
Overall my portfolio is green with the exception of KDP so it’s looking positive today, a good bounce back from yesterday.

Make sure there are no requirements. My brokerage won't let me trade options without applying, and I think taking a test or something.

Same with fidelity, but you just have to have a certain amount of money in your acct in case you lose your shirt right away. I think with both webull and TD I have to sign up for a regular brokerage acct before I can sign up for their paper trading acct. I'm thinking Ill do TD since I like looking at graphs and they offer a bunch of stuff with their paper trading side.

small oil companies are blowing up today with option calls. WLL up 150% and HPR up 85%. Both are well short of where they used to be. Not to mention WLL filed for bankruptcy a few weeks ago, interesting times lol

The first major oil company to cut dividends today happened, EQNR. I am holding my breath that CVX and XOM can sustain what they pay.

Same, I’m interested how many in general try to keep the dividend now and then how many cut dividends later on.
