What's that for?

 

BAMF awning mount. These guys bolt to the awning, and then they bolt to the rack.

If it were me I would fully weld both sides, since there's no other gussets or supports. Or try and add a little gusset on the backside that runs down and ties into the tube. With the weight of the awning hanging off it and going offroad, overtime it may stress the welds.

 

It doesn't stick that far out without the rest of it on..

gotta do another one later. Im not going to beat the rain

 

Hmm ok. The shipping weight of the awning was 20lbs. Not horrible

 

Will the awning hang off the back of the truck or the side?

Disregard what I said then. That zoomed in picture got me turned around. That will be plenty strong

 

I will fully weld it at a later date. And ill get the front fully welded too.

I like the red for bugs, and if you want it dimmer you just close it a bit.

 

Im going to put a LED strip light in, like this. Also going to run a quick disconnect for when I take my awning off
