So rolling up the windows is just two clicks of the lock button right? Initially you lock, unlock, then lock again.

I had to do that initially because I wanted to show that if you just hit lock it doesn’t do anything but just lock your truck. Just like if you just hit unlock it just unlocks your truck like normal operation. It’s the two clicks of the Lock that Close the Windows and it’s the Combo of the Unlock-Lock-Unlock that’s Opens the Windows.

 

I don’t have a great video of it yet, but the one touch is also connected to this and it works perfect. Auto Up and Auto Down for the Rear Windows. We are changing the look of the Harness a bit than the original pictures and Control Module. I’m attempting to add another feature that you all might like that will stop the window from Closing when a hand gets in the way and it will go back down. This feature isn’t complete yet so I’m not quite ready to release these yet. I have this last kink to work out and then I have the link to work out when the truck is Unlocked but you don’t open the doors for like 30 secs or so, the Doors automatically lock. Well for some reason only the Front Windows right now want to close but not the rear. Another feature that they do over seas for safety and it’s more for nighttime, but they add the flashers for when you get in and out of your vehicle so that it’s like a caution someone is entering or exiting the vehicle. I’d like to hear your feedback on this one please.

In my opinion I like the lights flashing for unlock and lock. If a mod is going to take that away I would recommend leaving it. Sometimes you don't hear the beep so visual alert to let you know status is beneficial. If it's a option for the opening and closing portion, I really dont care. As far as windows up and down, I think having all 4 open and all 4 close at the same time would be best.

 

Oh and also the auto stop for safety is intriguing for my dog that likes to control her own window button

 

I would leave the lights flashing for lock/unlock...i use it all the time for visual confirmation when im not near by to hear the beep. Auto stop safety I would like as well.

 

So I went on a trip and had to get a rental so I said why not a Tacoma. They had one on their lot and it was a SR5. I did not know that the SR5s do not have Auto up on their Driver’s Door. I think this would be absolutely perfect for them. Wow. That would drive me crazy. I am definitely going to be testing this now.

My 2018 is a SR5 and no auto window control other than driver's auto down is a pain.
Waiting patiently and hoping it works.

Hey Katie! This is totally unrelated but have you consider making a plug and play harness for Passenger Door handle Smart Key just like the driver side? I know there is a DIY but you need to splice wires etc. There will be a lot of interest on this mod for sure!!!

would this interfere with the remote start by any chance?

 

I've thought about looking into this tbh. I'm thinking once I have some of these other projects released and like the driver grab handle and HUD into production, maybe I will do this. Sound good? Might need to shoot me a reminder then
