Called first, ordered online, then called back to confirm everything.

Nothing special but I wanted to make super sure they sent the right order to Deaver. Also if you call you can negotiate a discount usually.

@SpeySquatch I saw your question regarding the difference in hangers in the other thread and wanted to answer too. I thought it'd be more appropriate in here. I'll try and be as objective as possible.

That's why wanted to reply in here because I figured if I did in there, it would just start arguments.

2.5" Fox relocation * Hammer hanger * Archive MD springs
A significant element of the design of Hammer hangers is to work very well with Spring Under Axle conversions, and be able to achieve between 12-14" travel with SUA. The Deaver SUA springs were lengthened to around 58" vs stock springs at 55.5", that 58" takes a bigger shackle to work with, hence the long shackle offering.
Hh are focused on travel and doing everything well.

So moving on to SOA, Alcan springs are actually too long for stock hangers pivot location, they literally require Hh to work without rubbing the stock shackles. Alcan's design method is excessively long for applications regardless of vehicle manufacturers, I know this because the same thing occurs on Dodge vehicles I make parts for.
Here's pics of an Alcan spring with stock hangers and shackles at normal ride height, not even fully compressed, showing the rubbing of Alcan springs against shackle, and that's with the 2nd leaf trimmed! These pics were actually from TAV, who use Alcan springs and spec Hammer hangers on their stage 2 & 3 build outs. Hh are optimized for the longer springs on the market such as Deaver, Alcan, Allpro, ~56"-57"+ springs.

    4783.jpg

I also noticed that some people have another brand shock relocation that is not setup the way the Archive relocation instructions advise: to set axle tabs per your full bump height. Seems a group of people are for some reason setting axle tabs for ground clearance, one guy told me his shocks bottom out, and was getting shackle locking down. I explained that if you fix the axle tabs, the shock will stop the excessive droop. So some doing this are in effect blaming the Hh instead of the bad setup of a shock relocation.

I am always available to help educate people on how to use my Hammer hangers. Part of the problem is that there are tons of springs on the market, and you can mismatch a conglomeration of parts and get poor results.

It didn't "try" to say that... it said exactly that. If you haven't worked with BAMF, you really should. I've had amazing customer service from them on numerous products that I've bought from them. They are very active on the forum and are very quick to respond to questions or problems when posted on their product pages. They've gotten me over huddles encountered when installing their products and other peoples products.

The implication in the other thread is that great customer service was a “difference”.
