    I recently bought my first Tacoma after window shopping for a while. While I bought it used, it’s in immaculate condition both in and out.

    It’s a 2017 TRD Offroad DCSB in Blazing Blue Pearl, bought it with 80k on the clock for $22,500.

    While I just bought it last week, I am already loving the truck. A few Tacoma buddies convinced me to buy due to reliability, value and quality. And they were right.

    I don’t have specific “plans” for the truck, but I do plan on modding. Always open ears for some advice / suggestions!

    The reason I made the thread is more just for me personally, to track my progress via pictures and dates, and to ask any questions I may have along the way. So please - if it’s posted in the wrong spot, feel free to change it / let me know. I’m new to Tacoma’s and TacomaWorld.

    P.S - I’m from Rhode Island so if anyone else is out there locally hit me up! Always down for a little beaching or meeting up!

    Had some down time today at the firehouse, decided to go grab some AVS Low Profile Vent Shades from a local auto parts store. Have always had these on all of my vehicles, what a difference they make. I think they give the truck a cleaner look, too. :cool:

    most people use the build thread for these updates over time but all good. There is a lot of info here on TW to do pretty much anything and everything you would want to do and more. Welcome to the taco club! A big help is the forums tabs to help narrow down what you're looking for with specific items.

    One of the perks of living in the Ocean State is in fact the ocean, surf casting & sunrise / sunset Especially in off season from tourists. Coming from a F350 diesel, I’m sure to all of your’s surprise (kidding), the Taco significantly outperforms the Ford on the beach... even without switching to 4WD!

    Yes, that’s Taylor Swifts house way out in the distance. :annoyed:

    They offered an extended warranty, but I drive almost 100 miles a day just for work commute alone, never mind personal driving... so a 36,000 mile warranty for the money didn’t really make sense for me. They did include a 30 day basically bumper to bumper all systems though.

    Bahaha. For the most part, yes. Guess that’s why I’m a firefighter, lol.
