Has anyone bought the lifetime alignment at Firestone? If so, is it worth it?

 

I think Nuno has one.

 

@Cativelense has one. I tried at the Waterbury Firestone and they claimed they couldn’t align my truck as it was too high to lift to align. The rack couldn’t raise the truck... I use to work as a mechanic and that was BS.

I have it. My truck isn't super high as far as a lift goes (it only has the Pro Billie suspension with an AAL in the back). No problems at all with them doing the alignment. And I think it's super worth it because I have two sets of wheels; a winter and a summer set, so I get it aligned every time I get the wheels swapped.

I have it but I am stock. Its been great so far.

Curious if that changes once it sits a little higher.

 

It'll probably all depend on the willingness of the tech and/or the shop itself. Like @vssman said, his said they couldn't do it because "The rack couldn’t raise the truck"... I call malarky on their "reason".

I don't have any complaints about the Firestone I use. Been using them since I got the truck for oil changes after my free ones from the dealer expired, wheel changeovers, etc.

 

I have the Firestone lifetime alignment on my truck and my wife's pilot. Anytime the vehicle is in for any type of work, we get an alignment. Roads in NE suck and it always needs a little adjustment. Mine has been lifted 2" since it was 2 months old. They never gave me a problem until recently, they told me they could not adjust caster because it's not adjustable on these trucks. No matter that they've been doing it for the past 11 years for me. It was in spec so I just let it go that time. Actually, once I even asked them to specifically add caster to move the front wheels forward in the wheel well to solve some rubbing issues near the cab mount.

 

Did they change their tech?!?! Might be the "problem". I firmly believe that the people make a huge. If the tech is good and knows and what he's doing, and willing, they'll do it regardless.

 

While were on this lifetime stuff, and being from ct., i recently got a simonize care treatment plan that the dealer claims as long as you own the truck you'll never need to wax it, plus they will repair any problem that happens to the paint, or interior. Seemed like a good offer at the time so i took it. Last tundra i had for nearly 20 years and wish it was offered at that time.

I got the UCA's on this morning and dropped it off there. I told them the tires are 1 size bigger and don't panic they will fit. The response was "are you sure?" lol

I don't have a lift, yet so hopefully everything goes ok.

 

I like the idea for sure. I've been thinking about a small lift maybe next year and would need another alignment so...

 

I think it's well worth it. Especially if you consider how much they charge for an alignment, and how often you'd get it done. In my case, because of the two sets of wheels and swapping them, after 2 or 3 times it pays for itself. Or less... don't remember exactly right now how much they charge for one.

I don't know about the "lifetime" claim but I have had it on a past vehicle and it is pretty nice. The ceramic coating that are available now at a reasonable cost helped me pass on that when i got my truck. I enjoy keeping her all purty so its a reason for me to try different products.

Agreed. They quoted me 90 for one time 199 for lifetime. I think it's worth it.
