it helps you and I don’t have flares - automatically gives you a more aesthetic look with skinnies.

I can't get a good picture, but they are nearly even with my fender flares- they're .5-.75" inside of them. I was concerned it was going to look goofy, but it's not enough to get under my skin...

I went from stock to this.. so no experience with 265s. I'm on Eibach pro truck lift.. so about 2in front and back.. no rubbing so far.

I ran the 255s with stock suspension for about 2 weeks while I waited to get lift installed and I did not rub, but that was regular street driving. It was definitely close and would probably rub if flexed.

I can also definitely feel the weight of the tire but to me it's not bad and totally worth it.

Thanks! I went with nitrochargers, 888 coils and standard dakar leaf packs. Stoked on it so far!

did you keep your stock UCA's....and are you using any sort of spacer up front or run into any rub issues if not?

I went with SPC UCAs, no spacers, and no rubbing yet. Haven't gotten it off road yet though...

You all DO realize that Josh ran his 255s on bone stock off-road suspension? That is exactly why he created this thread.

How is the high speed corners with this setup? Looks great, but I would be always worried about the tip over feeling on interstate up and down corner ramps at speeds above 50mph. 255 seems like a very small footprint when adding lift on top of the already 2 inch lift from tires. I wanted to do this but those corners worry me a bit. Have you noticed anything different? Good or bad?

It hasn't been an issue. It is honestly hard to tell the difference from the 265/75s and no lift. I've towed, driven berthoud pass, driven in the spring snow in Denver, and put a fair bit of highway miles in. It feels stock compared to other vehicles I've lifted in the past.

Heck, that's how I run mine. The combo just works from stock.

First full tank of gas with 255’s without towing, my mpg’s dropped to 17mpg from my former normal of about 19mpg, almost all city driving.

Is this mileage through the computer or mileage with pen and paper? My computer reads that I'm getting 12 mpg with 255

iPhone calculator, after adjusting miles traveled by multiplying by 1.084 to correct for the largest size. Adjusted Miles divided by gas put in the tank.

If anybody hears of a dedicated winter tire flavor in either the 255/85/16 or 255/80/17 sizes (looking at you, Nokian and Bridgestone), let us know. Sounds like there are quote a few of us on this thread that love their ST Maxx in the summer but have to downsize in the winter....

Do the ST's degrade in the cold? I didn't notice any real loss of traction from my CXT in IL but I've never driven a true winter tire to compare.

They don't degrade but they're a harder compound than dedicated winter tires. Some guys say the ST Maxx are great in deep snow, I'm up in Minnesota, so I run dedicated winter tires for 6mo every year because we get it all...deep snow, slush, ice. Unfortunately there aren't any 33" skinny winter tires out there.
