I believe the manual was revised at one point to say 5.5qts.

I do this too except I never replace the PS fluid. People don’t realize that it’s the PS fluid that holds our trucks back from being badass drag racers....... but Shhhh don’t tell other people it’s a secret life-hack

You laugh, but this thing is so underpowered that if I fart the truck accelerates. I noticed when the AC compressor kicks on. I notice when the winter blend fuel starts being sold. I notice when I haven’t changed the oil in awhile. Small things make a difference when I can barely do 60mph on the highway.

Then you have something else going on and need to get it fixed. I keep up with traffic everywhere.

Yea. Heavy tires. Was always slow and hard to catch up to traffic though even since it was new and unmodded. I guess that’s what a DCSB 2.7 auto is gonna be though.

I didn't realize you have the double cab. That will certainly put a strain on the 2TR-FE... I drove a DCSB and wanted no part of that bad matchup.

The weight difference isn’t that much between a ACSB and a DCSB. The auto really kills it though. I plan on converting it to manual at some point.

big heavy tires and bed caps or tonneau covers are the kiss of death for the 2.7l taco
