1st time Tacoma newbie question but how do I remove the chrome tip without destroying it?
I've loosened the clamp but its not like my F150 in ease of removal

    TIA

Yup welded, just took care of mine. Gonna weld it back on after I cut near the axle.

This worked for me, they don't come off easily but eventually will with a little effort.

you gotta buy it dinner first if you go that route though, so it can get expensive if it has high standards

The TRD Cat-Backs tips (oval) are welding but the chrome tips (round) that Toyota offers are clamped on.

    Update
Once you remove or loosen the clamp and remove the 2pc collar inside the neck of the chrome tip you can begin to slide the tip forward. Near the last 6" or so you will hit a slight bulge in the exhaust pipe which stops the chrome tip from sliding off (the neck of the chrome tip has been reduced/squeezed down by the clamp) but after some persuasion and a few shots of WD40 the tip can be removed
