It’s a major selling side feature of VFtuner, especially for $79. The Australian voltage booster for the second gen is almost $300. Way to go @OVTune!

Hell yeah! Just purchased vF Tuner. Looking forward to OV Tune adjusting 3rd Gen ecu for boosting alternator power output. And whatever goodies that will come with vF Tuner.

Maybe you can sell ‘feature mods’ higher output voltage, crawl control knob for tune switching...

I think you will still have to implement the code into your own tune but Mat will probably provide an example tune so you can see how it fits but not make a tune file that can be flashed as is with all the goodies.

I am very excited to see what the community will do with the software but it probably wont come without risk and problems as even a pro tuner like Mat couldnt make a tune that worked for 100% of the trucks and 100% of the people through years of development.

One thing at a time. If OV Tune can do something with the ECU and the alternator then it's all worth it. Everything else will be additional bonuses. I'm excited too.

    None yet.....
This is so not my world.

Ok, if someone who has never purchased anything OVTune related, and doesn’t have any of their tunes, what would they need to purchase to use a VF tuner with a tune pack? Starting from scratch here.

Similar situation for me as well. I have a 2017 MT Pro, and at this point am waiting on two things - VTuner to become available for Tacoma, and a confident answer on where to get the cable needed for this flash. Where can I orde this cable? Is this it? Do I just order it as is from the link below?

    https://www.tactrix.com/index.php?p...m_virtuemart&Itemid=53&redirected=1&Itemid=53

@Shellshock - you seem to be the go-to guy aside from Mat + Rafael. Can you help on this piece as well?

That’s the cable we use today and the one that’s always been recommended / supported.

I believe he will sell the cable for those who need it. You can currently select with or without the cable when ordering for non-Tacoma vehicles. As far as I have seen so far, pricing on tune packs has not been announced

I love driving with 2wd with a locked rear diff off road for slinging mud and having fun.

Detroit Locker in my cj7 is always fun, but never practical on the street for my 160hp.

All that's really needed for trails that have firm packed dirt and deep ruts is a rear diff lock. 2x4 Pre-runners used to come factory with this option. Also I don't always need to be in 4 lo when I need a rear locker.

I wonder if it can be done with the 2LO mod.

If you have 2lo, you can lock the diff (plus MTS, CRAWL, ATRAC, etc)
