Grounding to back of truck

Is this something worth doing? I was gonna install a master ground lug underneath the bed and ground it using some therma insulated braid loom until I get to the back of the cab then run it through cab then thru firewall and under the hood with the 15 foot of 1/0 gauge ofc wire I’ve got leftover

 

Ive seen people do a ground on the frame if the audio/electrical system is big enough to need it. “The big 3” should be done before though.

 

I personally would just run a 1/0awg back the the battery for a ground if I needed that capacity. Easier, removable, and not doing any permanent modification to the truck that i dont have to do

 

I’ve actually done the “big 4” already lol with 1/0 gauge. I guess I’ve probably been reading too much on the inter webs trying to educate myself. Lol I read on diymobileaudio that it was always a good idea to big 3 or 4 and even run a ground from back of truck to battery bc of all the welds in the trucks body and frame and to be honest I’ve cleaned up the house and yard so many times during lockdown I’m bored as heck and looking for something to do

I am looking for the lengths for OEM battery wiring and measured from end to end OF THE TERMINALS for the following, so that I can order my new 1GA cables. Do you have the lengths? Can you help?

1. Positive Cable to starter
2. Positive Cable from battery to fuse box
3. Positive Cable from alternator to fuse box
4. Negative Cable to transmission housing
5. Negative to frame
6. Alternator body to frame

 

50ft will do it for you. Sorry I didn’t write down the lengths and I don’t remember exactly what they were. I did all that you have listed with a tad less than 50ft

 

That won't help, because they want me to provide all the lengths for each cable, as they provide Big 3's for various models .
I guess I will have to go measure myself. Thx

 

Gotcha yeah I bought a roll of 1/0 and 4 gauge rather than doing it that way. I didn’t take any measurement before hand just ran it to where it needed to be and cut it to length myself. Sorry couldn’t help
