Had a buddy go to Japan for work and picked up a bunch of bottles.

I went on a cruise back in January and brought back a case of weller cause I can’t find it down south. Got a few bottles of blantons on ship for 42 bucks a bottle. They limited it to 4 bottles a person though. I don’t have an issue getting the harder to find stuff from my local dealer. He pretty much keeps everything behind the counter for his regulars.

I stop all across South Carolina, North Carolina, and Georgia when I’m out. The best stores are in the middle of nowhere haha. If I don’t see it on the shelf’s I just ask the owners what they got in the back. Some say they got nothing, other will over ya all the good stuff.

Love me some Aberlour! I'm thinking it's jack o'clock for me.

It’s crazy how the allocations and sales are. I can pick up bookers at almost every store around here. If I remember correctly is like 80 bucks and up. I might have to grab a bottle at some point.

ya that is interesting, sometimes frustrating, but it's a game. Always on the hunt. Makes it challenging like hunting/fishing in area's with restricted gear.

It's a damn conspiracy is what it is!

I don't mind hunting .. in fact I enjoy getting out and seeing new things but when no one has it (or will admit to it) it's incredibly frustrating. I've asked on here and people say Blanton's is worth it and other places say it's not worth the hype.

In the past 6 months I haven't even seen a bottle for sale in the local market and others in different markets are buying multiple bottles at a time.

My theory is if it was really that good.. it would be available to everyone equally.

Its that’s good! What kills us in the south is allocations. Places like Ohio get 10s of thousands of bottles of wellers a year and sc might get 10k bottles of it in 10 years.

The bourbon craze is fuckin stupid but the state allocations is even worse. I have a buddy that lives in Kentucky and he hasn’t seen blantons on the shelf in months. My grand parents live in bum fuck Nebraska and it’s collecting dust on the shelves out there along with a bunch of other good ones.

Western ne, Scottsbluff is prolly the closest town that anyone would know of out that way.

I know when they go to Cheyenne they pick up bottles all the time.

That is so goddamn good. Like seriously good stuff.

Had it with the Whiskey Crusaders during the BBQ video series. Outstanding stuff.

Get a pic of all that little floating stuff in it.

It's fantastic. Much better than I expected it to be. Probably dethrones my beloved Laphroaig CS batch 10 as my favorite non-Octomore cask strength peat bomb.

The floaties are magical pieces of whisky casks that are packed full of vitamins, nutrients, and KICK ASS PEAT! I love it! I know where another bottle is if you're interested, otherwise I may grab it as a backup.

I think I can find one, too, but PM me what you can get it for. I think the one I heard was in Dallas is overpriced. I might take you up on it!

I can totally understand and relate to you guys having a hard time finding things. Booker's was an easy find for me, eagle rare and buffalo trace are stocked at all my local grocery stores. Blanton's on the other hand... Someone find me a bottle for not an absurd price please, PayPal ready LOL

I agree on the Glenmorangie; good scotch, for not a lot of $$, and it doesn't punch you in the face with peat. Like I said, I've brought a couple of scotch haters around with Glenmorangie.

I've never seen one of these before so I had to grab it off of the allocated shelf. Anybody tasted this year's batch proof or previous batches?

Those have been popping up quite a bit locally. Around $130 IIRC. Interested in hearing your review on it.
