3” up front and 1.5” AAL, leveling the truck. I had 265/75/16 Hankook Dynapro ATMs on 3.5 bs F5s. I rubbed if I really gave it the juice when cornering. As soon as I stepped up to 285 STT Pros, I rubbed like a middle schooler that just found porn.

So considering I wouldn't have that kind of backspace... maybe I'd be ok for driving around. Could you at least drive around/mall crawl? And did it hit your UCAs?

As I mentioned, you’ll probably be fine driving around town. However, contrary to some opinions you’ll find on TW, 285s will rub at some point (flexing, turning, etc.). My UCAs were never a problem, it was the scrub radius, geometry adjustment for reverse, and a having too much fun with my new-to-me suspension. Scoop them up!

I really want to stick with 16's... but worried about the weight of an E rated tire. Does anyone make a decent C rated 16? Otherwise I might have to do a 17".

You'll have more options in 17", but the 16" gang is cooler

Yep, on 265/75r16. 0 mm offset. Not even close to rubbing. Not sure if they'd rub on 2nd gen. Aren't 3rd gen 1" higher?

Seems like 16s are the way to go on stock suspension. That looks great.

I agree although it does limit your tire choices if you're trying to avoid E load tires. That's why I have Duratracs. They're great off-road, but they do wander at hwy speeds just a little bit with the 0 mm offset. With stock wheels I didn't notice any wandering. The F5s are great looking wheels.

See my post above. I love them off road. Haven't had then in snow yet but at my last tire rotation discount tire was commenting on how great they are in snow. I've had them in deep sand near the AZ/UT border, and I wasn't getting stuck when others were fwiw. I like them more than my F5s. Heh :anonymous:

Was looking for some info on these wheels, and found this thread. Looking at either the F5 or RAY10 in the 17x9 -38, and wondered how much lift you're running, and what you had to do to make them fit? Any tips would be very much appreciated!!

    I'm at ~6" up front.

I did cab mount chop and some minor trimming of the front plastic fender flare on the bottom.

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
I’m CMC and still have some minor rubbing still. I’m running 285/70/17 with the 8.5” and 3.5bs F5’s. It doesn’t bother be none only when I’m at full lock off road.

    Nice. What’s your lift/suspension setup?
I want to swap out my lift here soon, thinking about a 6” but not sure yet. Guessing you couldn’t fit the -38s on a 3” lift, and I kinda want that offset. So 6” might be the way:notsure:

I've got Maxtrac 4" lift spindles up front with ADS coilovers.

The spindles push the front wheels out .75" per side so it looks stancy af.

I don’t know much about suspension stuff yet, trying to do all the research I can. How do the spindles differ from just getting a 6” lift kit (i.e a BDS or Rough Country kit)?
I was looking at the maxtrac website, and it seems like they’re only available for 2wd trucks?
