I asked something similar he said if you pay cash you don't pay taxes on the parts and he'll refund you your deposit however if you wish to pay the rest of it with card you'll pay taxes on parts not the labor.

    I'll help you out.

How hard do you wheel/want to wheel? Front lockers are great, but they are expensive and can cause issues to arise. If you are not tackling hard trails (John Bull, Rubicon, etc.), there is no need for a front locker.

Front lockers are usually second-to-last resort for most people I see. First they try in 4WD, then 4LO, then 4LO + locked rear, then bumping it in 4LO + locked rear, THEN dual locked, then winch if you really cannot get up. Sure, you could skip to dual locked straight away but that's no challenge, right?

If you can afford the front locker, do it...no reason not to and it's always there if you need it. If you can barely afford it or don't do hard trails, I'd buy a winch instead and put the rest into savings. My buddies who wheel hard that have front lockers say they use them and don't regret buying it.

winch will get you anywhere. But damn I’d never say no to a front locker if I had the money for it.

I had the same debate, but like they said above I’m going to go the winch route seeing how it’ll get me and others out of a bind where a locker couldn’t.

I agree. Having a winch is a better option to save my money and my truck during a bind.
