I have a 2017 Tacoma off road I am looking to put on a 3” lift . I have SCS f5 16x8 -20 rims I am not sure what size tires would fit without doing any cutting.. Please help if you can Thanks

I’ll do you one better.... Just do 35s and do the required work to make them fit. 3” with 35s is killer.

I was thinking about the 285/75/16 since I already have the 16” SCS f5s .. but I’ve heard since the rim has a -20 offset the 285/75 may be to tight .

And do you have to regear with a 33” to 35” wheel ?? Bc I have a pair of 295/75/16 KO2s but I would have to do a cab mount chop an I hear I would have to regear as well .

So you think a 3” lift with the 285/75/16s on the f5s -20 offset would just need some plastic cutting or a full cab chop ?

With a -20 offset you most definitely will need a CMC

Believe what they are telling you. A lift does very little for fitting tire size on the front end. 75’s is pushing it, without cutting your cab. Look up CMC.

Thanks slick taco .. is there a tire size you would suggest with the 3” lift and the -20 offset wheels without doing a CMC

You’re probably going to need a CMC. Maybe the pinch weld too.

With such a negative offset I'm not really sure but maybe 245's. You could always check the skinny tire thread

So, look at a tire size calculator. A 32’ overall size will barely fit. If you go 33’s, they will not fit without cab mount mod. Without every other variable, that is my best advice. These are 32”s, and this where they will rub with mud flaps.

OP...I'm running 33"x12.50/17 with a -12 offset, King 2.5 coilovers giving me about 2½" of lift. Requirements were a full CMC, pinch weld fold and some fender trimming.

yup re gear is a must with 33s and up. if you hate the way it drives now then it will feel like hell with bigger tires.

Ok thanks . So I guess I will just go with the 265/75/16 KO2s just hope they don’t look to small for the 3” lift:fingerscrossed:

Is there a reason for a 3” lift, and if so, why not do a cmc, to gain more tire?

I’m running 32’s no lift, and love them, even with a 1-2”, but I think with your lift, you should run 33’s. Just sayin.

if you look hard enough, you’ll easily see the exact setup you are looking for. Don’t rush it, man.
