I have a blue ribbon metallic and they didn’t make that color for the 3rd gen so I bought some color matched paint from automotive touch up paint and painted the caps myself. It’s not a perfect match, it turned out a tad dark but I think my color is hard to match perfectly. But I got my mirrors from a local member who upgraded to towing mirrors so they are oem.

I snapped some pics of the inside panel for you. You can kinda see how much I grinded off to line up the bolts. I would have took some pictures of the front but I didn’t have time to redo my rtv job. After I wash my truck this weekend I’ll get you those pics. I marked where the bolts go by lining up the 3rd gen plate to the door with a sharpie and then I drilled a hole there ,same size as the bolts. Then I used my dremel to grind the metal to connect the original holes to the newly drilled holes. You have to hammer in where the bolts are to make the mirror sit flush. It’s a messy job. I painted over it to prevent rust if moisture got in there somehow. My 2015 TRD offroad was also premiered for turn signals so I was able to depin both mirror connectors and reuse the 2nd gen plug. 176AC01B-B093-48BA-97E4-7AA56490B00A.jpgEA057797-69E2-4590-B8E2-ECF279B99F7C.jpgC2BB5030-77FD-445B-B0A2-23F5D21FF492.jpg984C3B87-6AD2-45DE-B6C8-0A74CF8F07CB.jpg52D605AC-3394-4697-AB21-75EF8DA19FBE.jpg

Thanks guys! I just ordered a BAMF plate bumper and sliders last night. Hunkering down for the 3 month wait now. Thinking about some trimmed RDJ fenders to negate this...

I'm excited to work everything out though and get her trail ready for fall. :D

A couple months back I heavily modified a factory Toyota hitch receiver. It was still bolt on. I towed a heavy boat a month or so ago and all the brackets turned like levers, lol. So I put everything back where I wanted it, retightened the bolts, and tack welded everything. Yesterday I broke half the tack welds and turned the brackets like levers again by towing another heavy boat, lmao. Today I'm lowering the butt end of my truck by adding pounds of steel and a gazillion miles of mig wire to that hitch. Cheers to a softer ride.
    Hahahaha!

I just pulled the trigger on a stage 5 'Fox for Tacoma' from Accutune with the Archive Garage stuff!
2.5x12 coilovers and 2.5 smoothies, remote reservoirs all around.
I made it a customized package with Deaver 402s and SPC instead of the Icon stuff cuz, well I just gotta be me I guess.
Is there a twinge i didn't holdout for DCS? Ain't gonna lie, but with bumpers, winch, lights, etc., etc. yet to come, I get over it.

Those guys are great at Accutune, although they probably think I am a great something with my myriad questions/comments (and outside the box component changes!). They never flinched!
Cred to Archive Garage for too immediate feedback on yet more questions!

Obviously no pics yet, but that should change hopefully soon.
    Err'body stay safe y'all.

    Such a horrible app...

Prices are cheaper then what’s listed in the first post.

    1. Used GNTX-177 version, $139 – these are available with a display that shows either compass OR temperature, or one that shows both at the same time.

    2. New GNTX-455 version $209 – these are only available with a display that shows compass and temperature at the same time.

    3. Used GNTX-455 version $159 – these are only available with a display that shows compass and temperature at the same time.

For the bottom brackets there is a dimple spot that is covered with body sealer and has to be scraped flat with a razor blade so that the bracket sits flush. That's where I put the brackets. Some guys have been putting them a little more forward of the sealer but the rivet doesnt hold as well. Once the bottom bracket is mounted on both sides, install the strut with body (black side)facing up and install the upper bracket onto the strut. Bring the strut up until it makes contact with the hood and the upper bracket is at an angle but flat on the hood support. Mark then drill one hole, rivet bracket in place then drill the second hole using the bracket as a template.

Yessir, KENO Rechargeable LED Flashlight on Amazon. Only complaint is I wish is was about an inch shorter, but at 300 lumens its brighter than anything else I found around that size for this rechargeable type.

You'd think so, most science fiction points to that. Personally I take the Doctor Who approach and know that humans will be around long after the expansion of our ancestral home's sun. :D

I did a 190W solar setup last year. Its been so nice not having to worry about having enough power to run the fridge, lights, and keep all my electronics charged up.

Just dropped it off at the dealership. I need to replace U-joints and carrier bearing. Toyota parts are $570. Are factory parts the best or should I go aftermarket for a stock rig? Is this something I can handle in my garage with hand tools?
