    As far as I understand it, 1.05 requires S+ECT to activate gear locker (we had to give up ECT for gear lock. Edit: at least when I installed, you still had to pick the specific gear lock version of 1.05, it wasn't in every tune), 2.0 will change to simply S=Gear Lock, and as I understand it return the functionality of ECT in both S and D modes. I'm happy with that since that's one of the things the salesman misinformed be about when I bought this truck, he led me to believe that S mode was a straight up "manual mode", not a shift "limiter"

    S mode does not need ECT activated to gear lock.
    If it is not working for you please let me know.

    S mode, foot to the floor, ECT on, no downshift. Hit ECT (to turn off) truck downshifts and accelerates

    I’ll give it a stab: yes, “tow mode” has gear lock.

    S=GL
    S+ECT=GL (Atkinson cancel) tow mode

    Or at least that’s how @OVTune described that aspect of 2.0final and how I understand it to work.

    I'm not entirely sure if it downshifting or it's torque converter. If you give it moderate gas while in S mode, the RPM's will jump as if it did indeed just downshift.
    However, if you actually manually downshift and monitor the RPM's of that gear, they're much higher than that of the higher gear with moderate gas applied.
    That's why I say it could be torque converter instead of it actually downshifting

    There is a very easy way to test.

    Put the truck in S Mode. Put it into S2 around 2500 rpm.
    Floor it.

    You will know right away if it jumps down to 1rst gear.

    I just did as you said, started in S mode 2nd gear and got to 2500 RPM and floored it. It didn't downshift.

    If you're in a gear such as S4 and above, try giving it a moderate amount of gas and watch the RPM's jump. If you downshift to the next lower gear and observe those RPM's at the same speed, they will be much higher.
