Michelin AT2 or MS2 would be my vote. Smooth riding tire, long wearing. For something less expensive, the General Grabber HT (might be HT2) is a good tire. My dad has them on his Chevy half ton and really likes them. Like you, he puts about 50-60k miles a year on the truck and they seem to be wearing well. I think they look a little too mild for a all season, but he keeps telling me they do great in the snow.

Got to install my new Hooke Road roof rack yesterday. Really happy overall with the product, easy install, etc. Saw good reviews about it on here and for the price I won't complain...for about the same price of a new OEM rack this seems much sturdier and trust it more for loading mine or my wife's kayak.

Cooper H/T's used to be an awesome street tire. You should check out whatever their latest version of those tires are.

OEM racks are actually pretty damn strong. Specifically the side rails. It's the crossbars that are the weak point. BUt you can easily replace the stock load bars with 8020 extrusion and add capacity/ mounting options etc....

    Rack looks good though.

I concur with the Michelins. Whatever the most recent MS2 is, iirc defender or something. They were great on my old 1st gen.

I ran a set of TSL-LTB'S on a Nissan back in the day. Listening to the radio was pretty pointless.

It's amazing how quickly appliances change. I ordered a new washer a few months ago because mine was acting up and I hate top loaders so I didn't want to fix it. Held off on the dryer because it's only about five years old and works perfectly fine.

I have a friend who needs a dryer and have about $700 racked up in credit card rewards now, so I figured I'd use those toward the matching dryer to take care of my OCD and give him my old one. No one sells the matching LG dryer anymore, it's a newer very slightly different model. Same color, but the control knob/panel are subtly different and it looks like the ring around the door is chrome instead of painted like the appliance itself. Close enough where I don't think it'll bug me.

Yeah the crossbars were my concern. I'm sure they would have held up but who knows what a 75# 12.5' kayak would do to em at highway speed. Probably just overthinking the whole thing. But I'm really happy with this rack situation now.

to add to this. Make sure you can switch the door swing direction on everything. I can on my dryer but not my washer. The washer is the one I want to switch over...

I thought so at the time. Or at least, a 3.0 V6 with cherry bombs
It did get old on the 3-hours-one-way drive to visit my grandparents, though.

Buddy’s brother had a lightning. Straight piped it and good lord was that thing loud. We drove it up to Maine once and my ears were bleeding by the end of the trip.

It looks like it opens in the way I'd slightly prefer out of the box. Fortunately it doesn't really matter much because of how the basement is setup. The machines are on opposite walls probably 10 ft apart so neither direction would be a dealbreaker. Most of the basement is open space. The laundry, breaker panel, boiler, water heater, and most of the plumbing are all on one side so I've considered putting a wall up about 2/3 of the way across and finishing the other side. The well pump is over there, but it's in a little closet so it kind of works out. I doubt I'd ever touch the laundry area apart from possibly putting some epoxy on the floor.

It actually was finished at one point. There was some badly damaged linoleum I pulled up and I can see where there were some walls and a drop ceiling that were removed. I think there was a bedroom down there--the remains of a closet exist right next to it.

On the Ford forum, I'm watching those dopes do the same thing with the new 7.3 pushrod V8 on their Super Duty. They sound phenomenal, but damn they are loud when they're straight piped, true duals with no resonators. Can't imagine that's fun for towing.

I considered the 5.0 when I was shopping. I would have considered a cutout on that for fun.
