I haven't been able to get out of town mainly due to work, but I was able to get to the Adventure Expo this past weekend. Tons of people checking out the Drifter and more than one saying "is that a GoFast camper?" Including this guy on the left...
    Screenshot_20200309-105342.jpg

Hahaha!! I turned and started in on the usual "no it's a Va...." and then noticed his shirt. Haha. We laughed and spent most of the day chatting on and off about the Drifter amongst ourselves and others and it's construction and mods. When you get a chance to finally meet Phil (I bought my Drifter used), you end up asking a lot of questions. He's just as knowledgeable as you'd imagine and an incredibly nice guy.

Also used our drifter as a base camp for some backcountry skiing recently...

Still chomping at the bit for my Nomad to be done. Got the Propex heater mounted and will run the duct and wire this weekend. Found a really nice spot towards the front of the bed of the Tundra.

Nicely done. Have you installed your hot air ducts into the bed yet? Where do you plan for them to enter the bed area? I would love to see picture when you do.

It looks like you installed one of the external Propex heaters like the HS2211. I have heard rumors from some that the internal models can be mounted externally. Has anyone tried that?

I'm doing the ducting this weekend but am debating whether I am going to drill the holes through the bed until I get my Vagabond. The nice thing about the Propex is the duct connection is only 2.5" so not huge. My plan was to run up inside the fender, over the liner and have the supply on the floor at the rear of the truck bed so the heat would rise to the sleeping area but now I think I may reverse that so the bed platform blocks it from rising for a bit. Also thinking about a 12v "ceiling fan"to push the heat off the ceiling.

Anyone running Decked drawers with a Drifter?

My Drifter was supposed to arrive this month but now a few months behind so got the Decked system to hold me over for the summer. Hoping it won't be too tight of a squeeze getting in / out and can keep it once the Drifter arrives.

If you are serious about picking one up hit up @fitgarage on IG. That’s my buddy in the pic, he works on them literally every day and imports them. Great dude and ships all the time.

Nope, I tried not to get too excited since it couldn't be imported to the US. They have to be at least 20 years old I believe to qualify as a "classic" import.

At the moment, it’s a bit of a pipe dream for me, but I’ve been contemplating building a flatbed with a canopy like the aussies seem to have on all of their Land Cruisers and incorporating a wedge into it. Found a flatbed pic on google I’d really like to replicate that would be Bitchin’ for camping!
