Does the DYI plate bumper kit come with detailed directions? I have a buddy who is willing to help me weld the bumper together but knows zero about truck bumpers.
    thanks

Not completely detailed, but does tell you in what order to do the fab work and shows orientation of the parts to be assembled. Working with the install sheet and the truck it shouldnt be too difficult.

I know this is months after the fact, but welded on a receiver and fab'd a plate similar to his setup using the pictures on this thread (on my Relentless Bumper), and I used it with a Uhaul two wheel car dolly to tow my brother-In-Law's 97 Tacoma loaded with offroad gear, in 4 low through 15 miles of healthy jeep trails when he broke his front suspension. And then towed it 45 miles on the freeway to Chico. It was at or just below the recommended Load Rating. I remember we totaled it up and I was crazy close.

Anyone have one of these with the optional hitch and use it with a Thule T2 bike rack? Wondering if I would still be able to lower the tailgate with the bike rack on the truck loaded with a bike.

I don't want to speak for Eric but honestly he doesn't come onto TW very much. He is still in business. Just do a Google search for his website and contact him through there

We do not currently offer the standard replacement rear bumper, only our cut-side high clearance now. This bumper just wasnt selling as much as they used to so we stopped offering them this year.
Thanks Rob! I check in here almost daily but don't post as much as I used to. Mostly out in the shop building parts on the daily, Phone or email from our site is definitely the best method of contact

The plate bumper with the Baja Designs cutouts has been spoken for. These leaves two with Rigid cutouts.

Relative to the hitch receiver you can select our high clearance (hidden behind the license plate) receiver, standard receiver which is welded underneath the bumper, or no hitch.

Give us a call at 775-200-0544 to secure your bumper before they are gone!

I assume the "standard" receiver is the same as the HD one referenced earlier in this thread? Also, the light cutouts are for flush mount? i am so tempted by this
