That's the old George AFB in Victorville now called the Southern California logistics airport . I live maybe 15 minutes from there and see many daily flights of commercial aircraft going in

 

@TK-422 Chris ...... it's the same way with hundreds of abandoned BNSF locomotives being stored along miles of spur lines out in the Mojave Desert East of Barstow Ca

 

I bet they have lots of planes parked out there as well.

 

We donate money to the parks and don't use their facilities. We practice good outdoor conduct and leave no trace.

Unfortunately we also have to clean up after those that dont.

Thank you. Really hate seeing the trails of toilet paper and beer cans...and that's within the cg's on a good day. Or the trail that leads to a discarded couch or kegerator full of bullet holes.

 

We haul out a ton of stuff, it teaches the boys to care for the land.

Unfortunately the NP removed all the cool mining equipment and old vehicles from the mines, it was the favorite thing for the boys, part of the history of the area. We understood shutting down some of the roads and removing the old trailers but this was a step too far.

 

I've had to "rehabilitate" some of the abandoned mine lands. Mostly roads but I did one mining spot that had some infrastructure. No cool vehicles or equipment though. I think scrappers pretty much have all that hauled out. It would be kinda cool to have some of that kinda thing out there. I'm sure there's something out there somewhere I just haven't seen it.

Heck yeah! Comfy t-shirt, and some zippy-leg convertible pants. TOTALLY appropriate office attire here.

I'd zip my pant legs off, but as I'm not doing a whole helluva lot today, I don't want to get a chill.

 

Left hand/wrist sore but not outrageous. 2 lower right ribs cracked and screaming pain. Didn't know about cut lip until grapefruit juice.
