History will be the judge. I'm just a dummy with a few missing nuts, so I'm glad it's not up to me to decide either way.

I fully realize that this quote will be taken out if context and used against me

This batch... So. Damn. Good. I need to compare it to my favorite batch, the 2016 139.4 proof.

Yes I picked a new photo location to avoid nut-shaming

I'm on my 3rd or 4th bottle of the C919 ... obviously I haven't had the older ones.. but this is by far my favorite of anything out there.

Was hoping to do some loaded milkshakes this weekend but our grocery order they didn’t have the vanilla ice cream we wanted and I still can’t find a bottle of Skrewball local. Now I haven’t checked a ton of places due to the rona.

Lol. Same here - fiancé starts giving me the eye (and some attitude) when my cabinet gets so full I have to store bottles elsewhere. And it's not a small cabinet! So as my tastes change - currently on a Japanese bender - I have to make room for those bottles.

Alright. So @bvbull200 lead me to Booker's when talking about favorite whiskies when my journey started. He always talks about it and how there used to be a very Booker's profile of peanuts. I've only had Kentucky chew and a the 2019 batches so I'm not versed in it.

But this 2020-01 tastes exactly like he had always described to me.

Peanuts on the nose and tongue. Very heavy profile. Transitions to oak and spices. Don't ask which ones. Haha. Just "spices" to me. Not spicy but cooking spices. Pie variants. That profile to guess anyway :D

That's all I get right now. But this I can get behind!

The mint is finally sprouting along the foundation for the house, so I've been on a julep kick. I miss them during the winter.
I've been making them with Wild Turkey 101, since I like my Juleps cold but not diluted.

First time trying this Taylor’s small batch. It’s good. Very light on the tongue, mellow comapred to buffalo trace or eagle rare. Scary though cause I feel like I could jug this comapred to the higher proof stuff. Next one will try with no ice, might have more bite. It’s good though.
