Those spring compressors are such a pain, an impact gun helps but I still hate them. But it is awesome the way advanced will rent them out to you, I rent all sorts of stuff from them for free.

 

do u know if advanced has something i can cut my flares with???

 

Yep. I've had it since last week just been busy so the install has had to wait.

An impact gun makes it a breeze. All it takes is patience. 5 seconds or so on each side on low back and forth and you're done.

I can't remember, did you say it was rubbing the lip that sticks into the wheel well?

I'd mark them and remove them then cut them out somehow. I'd use a dremel but I'm not sure what you have access to. It's like 4 screws and 9 clips to take the fender off.

 

yall make it so hard to do stuff it cuts very very easy with a pocket knife thats sharp razor blade or wire snips dremel would work also

 

i cut all my little pieces with my pocket knife

 

The inner fender or the flares? The flares on mine seem pretty thick.

 

yah the flares r pretty thick...the inner liner not so much

 

both man seriously yah they are kinda thick cut through them with my pocket knife. just try it speaking of that gotta sharpen mine now

 

It can't hurt to give it a shot, assuming you don't cut yourself I keed.

 

Ohh ive got an impact gun. There are many other situations where they are a pain lol. Such as when you have new shocks that are longer than the old ones and they wont fit in there, so you try and compress the spring some with the spring compressor and put it in, but the you cant get the spring compressor back off so you have to pull it back out and do it again............. Then sometimes when you have the spring really compressed and you are trying to put the new shock in the bolts on the compressor interfere with the shock so you have to take it back off and do it again. As you can see they have been a major pain in the ass for me lol. Ive done about 5 or 6 lifts now so I'm finally getting proficient with it, just think about it before you start compressing.
