    Hi

so I’ve seen this truck and am interested on taking this project. Crazy to see how the owner seems like he only had it for less than a month when he crashed it.

I’ve attached some pictures of it. From the pictures what would you guys say? Run or give it a chance. Since it’s a 2020 are parts interchangeable within the 3rd gens?

If it's totaled I wouldn't buy it and if it's not I would want it at a great price .

The handier you are with body work the cheaper the repairs will be, but the front end can be costly for parts prices. Make sure you do a thorough look and calculate everything you will need. Them figure if it's worth your time and money. I have rebuild vehicles in the past, as keepers, not for profit. I never had any issues with them.

Don’t think I’ll be selling am looking to keep it and use it as my truck for running around the job sites.

I don’t think it’ll be easy or cheap as I bought a truck like 2 years ago but that was rear ended this would be my first one with a front hit.

Does the parts need to be 2020 specific for this or would 2016+ parts work?

Yeah it looks bad. Might try and see the lowest I can get. Maybe strip it and sell the good parts?

it is a manual transmission, air bags are deployed, and the battery area took a hit, you can see the corrosion near the front apron, wiring harness area, from the acid damage... RUN, DONT WALK AWAY FROM THIS TRUCK. it will have a salvage title at a minimum, and even if you restore it to 100%, it will be worth 50% of it's actual value due to the salvage title, and have the stigma of a rebuilt vehicle the WHOLE TIME. you may want to check what kind of title it has, if it has a scrap, or parts only title, YOU CANNOT REBUILD IT, AND RE-TITLE IT, AS A DAIL DRIVER.

your results may vary, you have been warned. insurance companies total autos for a reason... that reason is, it isnt financially feasible to repair the auto.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Many people don’t want a wrecked vehicle. I had bought a new Blazer years back. Six months old, got rear ended, pushed bumper into my back seat. Insurance authorized rebuild, which renowned local Cadillac body shop did to a tag $13,000. The think looked great. But had all kinds of problems, rattles, doors weren’t quite right. I got rid of it, and took a hit on value because of the accident.
I’ll buy a repaired/ branded title vehicle, with the knowledge of what I’m getting. But the price should be 40-50% of average retail. This is also what most pros - KBB, Edmunds, etc, recommends.

I'd have that frame checked by a professional. Looks like it took a hard hit. It doesn't look like driver material. Could possibly be a parts truck if you get a good price. Good luck.

I would only do something like that if I was looking for a parts truck or if I was planning to tube it out, SAS, etc. No way in hell for a driver.
