A couple of years ago I put a left side lower control on the right side. Bolted right up and looked fine until I put the wheel back on and saw about 30° of negative camber. o_O

That was fun tearing it all back down....especially on a Sienna where you have to unbolt the lower engine mounts and lift the motor up.

    Omfg.

One of the kids did that. Couldn’t figure out all the noises it had driving and turning.

Reminds me of a funny story. Was out riding with a buddy of mine and his girl. He was a jerk, thought he was a car guy, all around pain in the ass. But, if ever you needed something, he was there. So, we put up with him. Deep down, he had a lions courage and was a loyal friend. His girlfriend was amazing. Really don’t know how they were a couple, she gave off the air of a princess with a heart of gold. Not the type you would ever see getting dirty.

So, we’re out driving the back roads and a cow had wandered into the road, right on the other side of a blind turn. My friend swerved just in time, but one of the tires came off the bead. He starts yelling at the cow like an idiot and I pop the trunk. I was relieved to see an inflated spare, but after pulling the trunk apart...no jack.

Now, we are 20 miles from a phone and this is before cell phones. So I’m getting so frustrated with my friend that I’m about to kill him. His girl is as well. After a couple minutes of him blustering about, his girl paused and said “What do you need?” I told her that he didn’t have a jack. She said that he needed to make it right afterwards... She went over to her purse, I shit you not, pulled out a bottle jack, new in box. It was a gift for her dad.

Her giant purse saved the day. It had a damn jack in it. They didn’t last. He went off to the military. She has been married to an amazing guy for 20 years now.

Yesterday's project almost done. Picked up two NATO jerry cans, spouts, and mounts from Craigslist. Cleaned and sanded then painted white for reflection/heat protection, then coated with a friction clear coat. I though I'd have to drill the mounts through the fenders, but they hold snug from the cam straps through bed rails. Will help me feel more comfortable for upcoming remote site surveys next month
